I'd much rather they get the gameplay right first...

This.

Anywho, reading more from where the source material came from (Nintendo Power) I found some interesting tidbits:

On similarities with 360/PS3:

"Beyond that, however, it has tried to include a fresh sense of playing via Wii's unique inteface. Therefore, the stage designs are 100% original to the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed even though it shares the same motifs with the other versions. In particular, the teams that worked on Sonic Advance 2 and Sonic Rush helped us a lot on the Wii version."

On boss battles:

"The design and attack variations for the boss battles are being shared with the PS3/360 version. However, the battle style is original to Wii and makes full use of the Wii remote. It's like nothing you've seen before, and the presentation is a sight to see when Sonic is delivering the coup de grace."

On whether the Wii version is using a modified version of the Hedgehog Engine:

"For the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed, we brushed up an existing engine developed by Sega."

I'd rather take the ban than admitting that I was wrong.

Yes but Nanza just kidnapped Kim Possible, would you endanger her life?

I've watched the show often enough to know that KP isn't really in danger.

EDIT: I already have the perfect solution to avoid gifting naznatips a VC game. I boycott the Wii Shop!

You can send me cash if you'd prefer.

You're already proven wrong, the difference is you maintain my respect for you by honoring a bargain.

How are we even sure that Rol 's post to enter the bet wasn't sarcasm? He fooled you guys this entire time!

Damnit, the thread with the bet is locked. Now I can't edit my posts. That's just unfair. Stupid Soriku and his thread necromancing which caused the kitten fanatic to lock the thread.

Anyway, my Wii internet connection currently doesn't work and it will be that way for an unknown time, so I can't gift you a game anytime soon, if ever. For some odd reason I am still able to host Mario Kart Wii races though.

Very Suspicious... OMGZ DON'T TRUST HER! SHE HAS A KP AVATAR!!! LOL, JKJK.

I like circle shadows... dunno why

God how I want a good Sonic game... i beg, I pray... a good Sonic game is exactly what gaming needs right now... or maybe just what I need.

PLEASE BE GOOD SONIC UNLEASHED... PLEASE!

And I like the Navy Blue Sonic more than the Baby Blue one.

Does the shadow really bother people? I dont even notice things like that when im playing much less care about them, I do however notice real shadows that clip on objects akwardly like they do in a lot of games.

Aside from the DS and perhaps the PSP, we're technologically beyond the era of bland circular shadows.  There's no excuse for it anymore.  The Wii has some susbstantial power under it's hood that developers are refusing to use.

However, I'm thinking that Sonic Unleashed may end up suffering with circular shadows on the Wii just to maintain the framerate.  I don't recall, off-hand, how the shadows looked in Sonic and the Secret Rings.

Pretty circles for the prequel. I'm sure they will make them more ovalness in this iteration.
