Is there a diffrence?

For me, yes.

In my opinion the T&J cartoons of the 40s/50s are the best cartoons ever created (Hanna-Barbera era, 1940-58).

The T&J cartoons of the 60s were horrible (Gene Deitch era, 1960-62) and mediocre (Chuck Jones era, 1963-67) in comparison.

I'm not sure of the difference. They all have the same formula, the only real difference I could see between the different eras is the animation of the characters, especially Tom.

What you don't like Chuck Jones?, he is a genius!!! The only person that can match him is Tex Avery, and he passes Chuck.

I forgot Twin Peaks in my first post (sorry, David) and put it now on place 10 1/2 in my list.

Oh crap I forgot Twin Peaks too... I don't know where I'd put it.  I give up.  It's 10 1/2 on my list for now too.

Montana, NOOOOOO!!

Just watch one of the best (imo), e.g.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Two_Mouseketeers  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcszzKvsKGs or

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bowling_Alley_Cat  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=438mFEQvpJs

and compare it to one the worst, e.g.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Steaks or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It%27s_Greek_to_Me-ow

(it seems both are unavailable on youtube)

The animations, the ideas, the humor, the music, the pace, the editing, the sound effects, the charm: Everyting was way better in the Hanna-Barbera era.

I just said his cartoons were mediocre in comparison to Hanna-Barbera's. This doesn't mean I don't like him or his cartoons, I just think Hanna-Barbera's T&J cartoons are unrivaled until today. As for Tex Avery: It was a different approach, but I never liked his cartoons that much.

The bowling one is easily the best episode ever.

Til this day, I still crack up at everything.

1. Star Trek: The Next Generation
2. The Sopranos
3. Dexter
4. South Park
5. NYPD Blue
6. Reno 911
7. Seinfeld
8. 24
9. Dragonball Z
10. Family Guy

DMeisterJ was born gay, apparently, or is a 13 year old, popular, teenage girl.

Also, imo, I have the best list in the thread, as all should agree, lol.
