i'm expecting 220k next week for PS3. I'm sure PS3 sales should return to normal within 1.5 months at the longest, but the game itself should continue to have good legs.

No GTA is just to big. The game needs atleast 2.4 million to atleast come close to the sales of GTA4. If MGS4 ever does get that many sold GTA4 would have atleast 4.5 million sold by then. Probally alot more.

Well i, for one, would not rule out the possibility of it taking over GTA. The game certainly has moved more systems then GTA, and it has strong sales in japan, whereas GTA was not released in japan at all. If MGS4 can have good legs in america and europe, it certainly has a chance. A small chance, but a chance nonetheless
