I think there is a pretty good chance that this will happen sometime in 2010, not in 2008 because by then the ps3 install base will eat up Metal Gear Solid 4 because it is an instant classic at it has probably set the benchmark for gaming content in this generation.

It's not even close. GTA 4 will win.

Although Mario Kart Wii isn't getting many votes, it looks like it will *handily* beat GTA 4 world wide this year. Interestingly, despite outselling GTA 4 Mario Kart Wii is still sold out online and in local stores.
