Of course Microsoft is trying to stop Sony. All videogame companies want to sell games and systems and will go through just about any means to do it, be it buying exclusives, paying for development costs, developing games in house, or paying for advertising costs.

The assertion is false. RE5 is a multiplatform release that fits with our oft-stated crossplatform strategy.

 

So that's the end of that for now.

RE4 sold 220k lifetime in Japan on the Gamecube with the much bigger userbase than the 360 is ever going to get and you call RE5 a killer app for Japan if the 360 can land timed exclusive?  Seriously, you are really scrapping the bottom of the barrel.

RE5 i heard is going to be average. The known racism issue in the game is a problem. MS can waste the money for timed exclusivity. MS has money to burn. MS $50 million on GTA IV DLC which has been delayed until jan. 2009. Shame gamers would be over GTA IV.

Didn't you just say in another thread that you are no longer going to be a Fanboy, because you now have a 360?

As for everyone pissed off at MS, why? If you want to be pissed off at a company if this rumor is true, it's Capcom. They are the ones who have to sell the rights. MS can't just take them.

MS buying an exclusive is just smart business for MS. Capcom selling it, is Capcom screwing it's fan base.

If this happens it will affect sales highly with 360 and ps3. I see no reason why M$ couldnt pay for it, they could easily outbid Sony for any game.
