It's called marginalization and true or not, it's still a form of damage control. You could use it like most Wii/PS3 fanboys would, or you could play it classy and let it slide. What I do usually depends on the situation. However, don't go too overboard as you know that packing Wii brand ammo makes for a tough opponent no matter how well reasoned your arugments, lol.

I can see sales, and that the PS3 beat the Wii this week.  I'm more concerned with that whenever the PS3 has even the minorest of victories, someone needs to come and belittle the accomplishment.

It wasn't directed at you personally, but the VGC community as a whole, and you didn't have to listen to it, but it would have been nice if you did.

You got your compliment in MGS4 and PS3 was able to take down the giant that is Wii and make them back down.  If that isn't enough for you then you want begging. 

And Wii stocks are low otherwise sales are down.  Excuse me for point out a fact.  This isn't jsut about MGS4 by the way and debating how PS3 was able to overtake the reigning leader for quite a number of weeks deserves some reasoning.  I want to know why Nintendo backed down in a week they could have taken with some effort.  Of course no one here, in the appropriate thread of this week's sales discussion, wants to discuss the numbers.  Otherwise this isn't a thread about congradulating MGS4 and PS3, its about NA Sales as a whole.  I gave enough compliments in the 1st week sales thread about MGS4 news story.

Practically everyone in this thread is being obnoxious.

Wii fans: "This will be short lived! Wii will be back on top next week or the week after!"
PS3 fans: "PS3 wins! QQ 360 fans!"

I handed out a warning to Fernando earlier, and that should have given a hint to everyone, but apparently it didn't.

MGS4 is being undertracked in both OTHERS and NA, there is no way it sold the same as in JAPAN for the first week, thats impossible.

NPD is going to show much larger sales I can almost garuntee it

Slow week.

Expected sales for HD consoles.

NG2 decent legs. (already 350,000 copies worldwide).

Rock Band X360 reached 1.5 million in NA.

Haze still in the top 100.

Both versions of Oblivion are still on the charts. =)

SW sales up

MGS4 does 500K
