When that page has Wii's available regularly, it will no longer be supply constrained. As it stands, 100 percent sellthrough is the norm.

Great week for the PS3. Wii has a slow week, actually(about 50k units worldwide less than last week). This was the "perfect storm" for the PS3 to have its moment and I'm proud.

We mean THIS week....next week is fine..but I can't wait this week when people will say MGS4 had no lasting effect

Well looks like PS3 will be the best selling 7th gen console this week over Wii. Only took a bundle, a huge game, and lack of increase in wii shipments to do it. Savor the moment.

You know I wont say I expect that hardware sales wont drop, but if that bundle comes in it might boost sales more than they were at the launch of MGS4.

So thats something to consider.

 Oh come on. Weren't you watching the previous weeks as PS3 sales dipped severely? It's very obvious what has happened - people knew this was coming, and they waited for it. There's very little to suggest that these increased sales will be completely sustained over time. On the other hand, the Wii is still facing supply shortages. I've been checking in Wal Marts and Targets in the Minneapolis and Austin areas since November, and I've only seen Wii's available once. There's no way to know if the PS3 would have outsold the Wii this week if both had unlimited supplies available.

As a hardware mover, what kind of legs do you expect? Also, which is more effective as a hardware mover, 80gb or MGS4 and by how much?

nothing this week for my store, Bestbuy.ca had gotten a few and they were soldout within hours.
