Although the homebrew install blockage is somewhat important...

DO NOT UPDATE IF YOU HAVE A FREELOADER!!!

There are reports of this update blocking the Wii FreeLoader!!!

Soriku, PLEASE ADD THIS INFORMATION TO THE OP!!!

The only thing this update does is block the TP hack and Freeloader.

OK. Was I the only person who was glad to have a place to put my extra Miis?

(My five-year-old son likes making them).

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I found the extra Mii storage to be quite useful.

Apparently Nintendo saw a need to uncap the 100 Mii limit. I had to delete some old ones last week when I hit the limit. I can understand peoples' angst about Freeloader.

Don't worry everyone - *every* disc game released from here onwards will require this firmware to be installed. So appreciate FreeLoader while you can - by the end of this year, it will be completely redundant.

I agree with the poster above. They need to kill homebrew before they can come out with their storage solution for E3. Otherwise you have a DS R4 situation on your hands, where you just download you Wiiware games to a SD card/USB drive and run from the homebrew game launcher

huh? I never said that. homebrew != piracy. Please don't get the two confused. Homebrew can already launch software from the SD card, so I don't see what a storage solution would have to do with anything. Homebrew is fixing the storage solution before Nintendo can get to it.

Personally, I believe Nintendo should stop piracy and leave homebrew and region free play the fuck alone.
