When will PS3 Surpass Xbox360?

Although I find it hard to eveluate how relevant it really is for the PS3 to outsell the Nintendo Wii or not. (little market overlap as compared to the XBox 360, I don't think those who demand more complex technically impressive or high defination (visual and audio) games will stick to Wiis exclusively anyway)

Why should the PS3 drop with $200 and the 360 not? The PS3 is loosing a lot of money per sale at the moment, while the 360 is making money. So your comment makes no sence...

The PS3 will never surpass the 360, because the PS3 is selling bad, and is loosing much of their exclusiv-games.

Listen, using the current trend in sales its impossible for the PS3 to surpass the 360, because the 360 is still selling more globally. Sure this might change, but I can't imagine the PS3's sales sky rocketing in any longer term sence over any game.

Many seem to be under the delussion that since a certain franchise sold so well on the PS2 that it at least has to sell just as well on the PS3. Did it ever occur to you that the PS3 could act as a limiting factor to a game's potential success?

Gran Turismo 3 sold 14m plus copies over the course of its life on a console with a 120m plus instalation base and moved at most 3-5 million $300 PS2s during its three month launch on a 12m plus instalation base (and that's quite a gratious estimate I assure you).

Gran Turismo 4 sold 8m plus copies over the course of its life on a console with a 120m plus instalation base and moved at most 3-5 million $200 Ps2s during its three month launch on a 90m plus instalation base (and that's quite a gratious estimate I assure you).

How many copies do you think 5 can sell on an instalation base of 4m at launch (one third the base GT3 had and twice the price per console). How many $600 PS3s do you honestly think it can realistically move?

while i can prove, that since 2001 M$ gaming devision is only losing money. And now lost about 5 billions $.

2) can you give me official ps3 manufacturing cost, calculated by sony, not by some analitics? NO? =))

3) ps3 is selling GOOD, if to compare first 6 month x360 sales to first 6 month of PS3 sales. And ps3 cost 600$, while x360 only 400$. FACT.
Now just think, if PS3 for 600$ is doing same as x360 for 400$, do you think, it will be doing worse if there will be 100$ price cut for ps3? =))
My opinion, if ps3 already selling like x360 in first year, with price cut it can easy outsell x360 sales in first year.

ps3 is selling NOT very GOOD, if to compare TODAY ps3 sales vs TODAY x360 sales. FACT.
Why is that? possible variants:
a) 600$ vs 400$.
b) x360 in 1,5 year got some good library games.
c) some multiplatform today looks better on x360.

But, why do you think, that after 1 year NOTHING will change?
