Maybe they skipped them before even noticing how long they were. Given how crappy reviewers are, it wouldn't surprise me.

If it's true then these had better be the best damn cutscenes ever!

The game is going to be great in any case. I mean you know what you are getting into when you buy it and it's the story and the cutscenes that made the franchise what it is.

Although it would have been a good idea to have the option to quit in the middle of a cutscene and continue later (like a DVD) since it is so long... If you can't I can see my PS3 sitting turned on and in the middle of a puased cutscene for a few days until i finish the game (since I don't spend more than 2 hours on games in each sitting)

You're just talking about individual cutscenes right? 90 minutes, that's madness!

Holy crap, they better give some background story in there for those of us who never played a Metal Gear game before. And they have to be packed with RAW epicness to keep me interested (I WILL watch them, but 90 minutes is like... forever O_o)
