2G SD=30$ (this is not nessisary for most wii owners anyways)

Total= 459$ or 429$ (without sd)

Now to add to this
-360 does not come with wireless, for the convienence it could run you about 100$
-360 games cost roughly 10$ more than that of the wii
-Online play for the 360 cost money 50$ yearly
-and since you factored in that the wii is a party system, then ill say the XB is for online and so you will need the head set 29$

So what now is the 360 running you?
360=349$
Controller (wireless)=50x3=150
XBL=50$
Headset=29$
Wireless adapter=100$
Total= 678$

So now the 360 runs 200$ more than the Wii, well fancy that....

 30$ for a 2GB SD card!?? You really need to look in other stores... 2GB SD cards can be found for about 10$ from reliable brands like kingston and sandisk!!

We forgot to include the price of electricity and our houses and furniture because we wouldn't get the full experience if we just sat in a field with our consoles.

SO lets see.

Wii - $250
3 remotes - $120
3 nunchucks - $60
4 classics - $80
4 GC controllers - $?? (est. $50) unless you go with Wavebirds which are rare so that would be $100+ at best.
4 zappers - $80
4 Wheels - $40
Wii Fit board - $erm 80-90?
TV - $1000
sound system - $1000
(I live in UK so some of you will have to help with odd prices I put for goods)
chair to sit in - $200
chairs for friends/family to sit in - $3000 (some games have 16 player pass around function so presumably we need 15 extra chairs)
fridge to put beers in for friends - $200
phone to phone for take out food - $50
House for friends/family to live in - $200,000
electricity bill for the life of the console - $??
car to get to the shops to buy new games - $10,000

probably some other stuff too, but I think I have proved now that the Wii is massively expensive.

Compare it to the 360 for insance:

360 - $280
headset to talk to children online - $20
Live membership - $60
1 game - $60

No need for other controllers or stuff because 360 is not for playing with real people. therefore the total is only $420 compared to Wiis $216,270+

 I have 8 Virtual console games on mine (3 N64, 2 MegaDrive, 1 SNES, 1 TurboGrafx and 1 NES)

I still have quite a bit of space left though. (over 1100 blocks out of 2000+)
I imagine in maybe 1 year I will fill it because I am planning on getting Sin and Punishment, and if it releases LoZ Majora's Mask which are both N64.
Add that to some Wii ware games and SSBB supposedly takes up over 100 blocks itself.

Of course I don't really play some of my VC games any more so I can happily move them to an SD, I would keep F-Zero X, Sonic the hedgehog and perhaps SMB lost-levels on the main memory as I dip into them occasionally.


512 isn't really bad at all considering what you have to put on there. In fact 1GB would have suited all of my needs easily.

If only there was a way of moving all that memory from Wiis that don't use it to serve those few hardcore ones that do.

I would buy a Wii even if it cost the same as 360+ps3 combined
