I say about a 20% boost in hardware sales the first week. Since MGS4 has been the PS3 poster child since the PS3 unveiling I suspect that the hardware boost will be smaller than normal, simply because so many PS3s were already purchased for MGS4.

MGS2 sold about 5.5 million copies
MGS3 sold about 4 million copies
MGS4 will sell 1-1.5 million copies initial week.

I hate to break things down by region so I'll just put in WW predictions.

SW: 1.9 Million units
HW: 376k PS3's.

There are many that I've heard in other circles that are waiting for this bundle to come out and will jump on the PS3 train with that. As the first of the "mega name" exclusives to come out for the PS3, I expect big numbers.

No, you misunderstand. The boost is 80 K. Add that to normal PS3 sales in a June week (60-70K) and the total actual HW sales on MGS4 week becomes near 150K.
