Forums - Microsoft Discussion - GTA exclusive content (possibly) revealed: San Andreas, anyone!?!?

@Phoenix_Wiight: First of all, I don't have SA, so you're wrong. Second, by your logic, no one should have bought GTAIV at all because they've already seen Liberty City in GTAIII -_-

@Darth_evidem, CaptainPreferences, and Stockstar: itcould easily be done on 3-4 gbs.

-The ISO for the pirated version of GTAIV was 6.4 gb.
-The expansion wouldn't include the game engine, which is a gb or two right there.
-Second, since it's an expansion instead of a full game, it likely wouldn't have as much in the way of new dialogue and cutscenes (there would be new plot obviously, and maybe new girlfriends, but possibly half as much as the main game, or 75%).
-The city probably wouldn't be as large as Liberty City (I know it was in the SA game, but whenever R* reuses a city they completely redesign it). It'd probably be 60-70% as big, which cuts down on extra textures and models.

So, it could fit quite easily on 3-4gbs.

This actually makes a lot of sense to me, as Microsoft, while sometimes... generous... with their money, doesn't pay $50 million for a mission and two new guns.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

false.

anyone who is a GTA fan has San Andreas

hummm...I have GTA4 and haven't owned San Andreas, am sure they're is a good number of people in my position...also they might make it look completey different you neva know...

then again, you all are VGC noobs

It won't be the dlc for 360, the dlc is episodic content, not a whole new game.
This is on the ps3 version too so it's just a reference to San Andreas. Come on don't get excited about every little reference to previous gta games.

In one mission, Vice City is mentioned. These places exist in the world of Niko but we already knew that.

It's called a hype-machine and it works damn well

There is a difference between them existing and him actually going there. Why would we get teased with such a picture if they have no intention of sending Niko there?

I highly DOUBT SA is being made as DLC as 360 HDD simply couldn't handle it..

and this can't be ONLY 10 hours of content (remember they said 10 hours)...so go figure

imo this is GTA V or whatever they call it
LOL. SA would be at biggest a 5gb download. Most of the texture stuff and the sounds etc are on the GTA4 disc.

Ah, so you're telling me thatit's just a bad game that sold on hype alone, hm?  Tell me, would you have said that if I hadn't brought this rumor to light?

Also, I have a theory about the release date. It's supposed to be coming in the Fall, right? What if the 10:15 means October 15th?

Make some sense, they could easily re-use a lot of GTA4 material, textures models, add a couple of missions and little of new content... they are not making a new engine anymore, they are just using it...

By me:

Made with Blender + LuxRender
"Since you can´t understand ... there is no point to taking you seriously."

I know MS put up $50 M but I find it hard to believe the DLC would be anywhere near this - plus I thought MS had pretty small size limits on DLC from recent comments from developers struggling with the limitation... what does that implay? Will the DLC need to be small enough or will MS annoy other developers by suiting itself and letting Rockstar have larger DLC limit than others?

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
