no,,you just focused on one word but ioi analyzed the whole thing.even with graphs,,

so he is right nothing is obvious just now and everything else that IS obvious agrees with the data here.


 The graphs were in refrence to something totally different. The actual paragraph which i disected, he disected the exact same way, and agreed with my conclusion. (and disagreed with yours.)  Both companies = Sony & MS, 5 million = shipped. 

The rest is the sold to consumers details.

Microsoft failed to mention that the 5 million lead is slowly reducing, :P

and as usual microsoft and sony will never mention the comparison of their sales to the Wii.

Now, can we all agree that MS is an honest and trustworthy company? Unlike Sony who twist and spin the numbers, MS came out modest by rounding the 6.4 million to just "a 5 million lead", not wanting to brag too much about themselves destroying Sony.

I absolutely love those graphs above (on shipments vs sell-through), and ioi's explanation was superb (you should copy and paste that for later).

Oh, and one more thing. Could you please perma-ban all those people in this thread who claim that VGC is over-tracking the X360 based on this news-story?

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

-Sony Europe has sold 12 million PSPs, 48 million PS2s, and 5 million PS3s.

PSP - 9,65 mln.; PS2 - 40 mln.; PS3 - 4,67 mln. -> by May.
Well, if for PS3 maybe ok.. but for PS2 and PSP there is a quite a difference.. =)
By the way this is LTD by May or by March 31th? =))

Because if by March, then 900k shipped PS3 i believe is a little too much.. =]

the WII is at 813,000 LTD as of March or +124,000 in feb+march = 10,5%.

Then in 2 month.
x360 = +54k = 790k
ps3 = +58k = 400k

 You would have to perma-ban every second member on this site, who has said 360 sales figures have been overtracked on VGChartz.
