I didn't see a thread about it, other than "why is my wii glowing again, and i'm too lazy to check", but I'm in the middle of downloading the Nintendo Channel myself.

What does it do. I havent seen to much about it.

It data mines you like crazy if you let it.

I was just reading the settings. (they display on first start) and you can receive commercial advertisements for games you might like.

But they don't just recommend randomly, They will data mine your system, for games you've played, and how long you've played them, and when you played them.

Ok, So I searched through a bit, and so far I've found the following

9 pages of video demos for Wii & DS, interviews of Iwata, info about Wii Fit, and other stuff. (so ~54 videos)

There are currently 8 DS demos.

You can even vote on games you've played for more than 1 hour, (essentially it is making a recommendation to other gamers). You input what gender liked the game the most, How old they were, how much you would recommend this, who you would recommend it to, and other information.

Haha ulterior motive discovered! I knew the calender system had something fishy about it. :o)

Nintendo had a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.

I just downloaded it about 15 minutes ago. Going to check it out now. I've been waiting for this channel for a while. :)

I just got done playing the Crosswords DS demo. I hope they start having a lot more demos now that they are delivered directly. I've downloaded a couple from the download stations, but this is so much more convenient.

Just downloaded it on my US Wii.It looks & sounds very nice,but i have horrible loading times(multiple times per video)when watching all the info videos. :(

There are a lot more trailers, click on "Find Titles for You" at the top screen, there you can find all kinds of info including trailers. Thanks to this I've been made enthusiastic about Rondo of Swords .

@Oliist, also a US WII in Europe? Me too, I have very fast loading times except with the trailers sometimes. Just let the trailer run once and the second time the trailer will run smoothly.... at least with me.

Now all we need is a WII download service for WII demo's.

The first video I watched, ran perfectly, the second, not so well.

I'd blame it on Wii Fit, but it isn't out in the states yet, so I blame it on the whole eastern portion of the US waking up and installing it.
