Answer: HELL YES!

This is the perfect game for her. Get her going with the wheel (it actually works like real steering, really great imo) and she will be all over it. Highly recommended.

Mario Kart is the ultimate non-gamers and gamers game, it is pretty much the only game my sister and her friend played on N64 or GameCube (Snowboard Kids, Goldeneye and TimeSplitters 2 I got her to play occasionally)

my only compaint with the items is the lightning... it seems I get hit with lighting 2 times a race on 100cc... But at least with the lightning it hurt everyone(except user who is usually in 11th or 12th) so you don't get screwed.

I mean I played all the 50CC and came in first in all tracks first time playing (with wheel). then i started first cup in 100CC and the same stuff. always came in first. I hope this changes in 150CC and that it gets a challenge like Diddy Kong racing was on the 64. 


Gets tougher on 150CC but certainly not as tough as Diddy Kong racing.  That game was brutal - especially the bosses.

@tuoyo: well, that game was at least a challenge. Great fun. I mean my friends and me alomost went mad once or twice, but overall this game really required skills.

MK Wii is brilliant, better than I hoped for. Though every time I have a really strong lead I get blue shelled, powed, red shelled back to back to back. You go from first by a good margin to middle or back of the pack very quickly.

Even driving with shells for protection doesn't keep you safe for long.

Online is better than I could have imagined out of N. Hopefully they are getting that act together. If everything plays this well that they do online in the future, I will be very happy.
