Forums - Gaming Discussion - 11 Signs you're not not a hardcore gamer anymore

Found this article off kotaku, it's a fun read.

I fit in under "It's been days, not hours since you last switched on your console"

I don't think I have lost my true hard-core gaming instinct, but I feel old at 21!  School, work, social life are mounting their tolls on my gaming!  But we've heard this all before.

Anyone else fit in any of these categories?

Let's see.

I am hardcore.

I have nothing to say for GTA, 360 and PS3, girlfriend, or golden age.

It's been 3 hours since Galaxy.

I play the Wii... easily...

I don't trade in games.

I have to play against CPU for not people to play against nor online.

I play over 20 hours a week, 3 hours a day so I think I am hardcore.

Kimi wa ne tashika ni ano toki watashi no soba ni ita

Itsudatte itsudatte itsudatte

Sugu yoko de waratteita

Nakushitemo torimodosu kimi wo

I will never leave you

Im a hardcore gamer still none of thoes apply to me.

i 100% disagree with this statement about the wii

"it does require a lot of effort"

I don't have a Wii, so I can't comment on that part of the article. I have played a Wii, but don't own one

Yeah, the article was way off with the Wii comments. I play SSBB by turning the controller to make it a NES pad. Seems damn traditional to me and it takes no work.

"Your FPS experience consists of spawn, run, die... spawn, run, die... spawn…"

That's me to a T. By now I'm taking the same approach to my FPS score as I do limbo: How low can I go?

The most obvious sign that you aren't a hardcore gamer:

You put fun over art.

 that's so true!!

art is all there is, in fact I don't even play, I just leave the console on with the games on pause on a nice scene. makes me miss the NES days of arty graphics.

Yeah most games that I play I usually want to have a perfect combination fo story , graphics and audio ... yeah , unfortunatly gameplay is not allways my #1 priority :D

OH , and my FPS skill sucks since I know myself , so thats not a sign for me :P

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

I was getting a bit annoyed at this list, but then the "You believe that winning isn't everything" made me realise it's not supposed to be taken all that seriously. Pretty funny after I figured that out. =P
