Forums - General - What Does Your Typical Day Look Like?

I’ve been trying to get my routine sorted out for a while now. It’s just unsustainable to be waking up, do my exercises, eat brunch, and then lock in from 11am through 9pm every day (outside of Saturday). I need to know what people normally do during their days. I don’t hang out with people, usually I’m just sitting in my apartment studying or (on Tuesday/Thursday mornings) attending lecture.

On a day when I'm not working?

Wake up around 9am, immediately consume a massive and stupidly strong coffee to awaken me from my post-sleep zombie mode.

Eat breakfast 10am, go for a walk, (I have to walk a lot as I am on meds that promote weight gain) do my chores, maybe a little daytime retro gaming, another walk, shopping, cook dinner, walk #3, my main gaming time, walk #4, then chill and watch a doco or something while I wind down for bed.

On a work day, insert either classroom mentoring or work from home for around 4 hours, either in the morning of early afternoon.

I nearly always have something on the background like a history documentary or some ASMR or something just to keep my ADHD brain on the rails.

Wake up, read news, shower, dress, drive to train, play tft on train, work, play tft while eating lunch, work, go home, come home, fix dinner, work with things at home, go to sleep.
Weekends and holidays: wake up significantly later, make some sort of breakfast, work at home, hang around in the sofa collecting energi to work some more, make dinner, watch a movie, go to sleep.

Well, my work days are pretty variable. But generally M-Th I wake up around 6:30am. Prepare some coffee, read, by 7:30am I'll go on a walk. By 8:30am I'm preparing for work. Then work from 9:00am to around 7:00pm, sometimes I get off at 6:00pm. Then I'll go to my CrossFit training coach or it'll be band practice until 9:00pm. Shower, then play an hour or two of videogames or guitar until it's time for bed. On my off days I'm awake by 8-9. Sometimes I go out and play regular golf or disc golf. Then I clean my house, make sure my notes from work are done, hang out with friends, or whatever else I want to do with my time. Sometimes I just sit there for 4+ hours writing songs on guitar and singing.

Like the insanely ridged, ADHD routine that it is. I could literally type out what I do every single work day (Monday-Thursday) until about 4pm without blinking, and it would be 100% accurate. It's that predictable and set in stone.

Mostly trying to keep calm. I don't work anymore, spend most my time regulating.

Wake up at around 8:00 - 8:30. (well get out of bed, I wake up at least 5 times during the night)
Get cup of hot chocolate with instant coffee, sit behind SAD light browsing the Autism forum and others for 1-2 hours until I'm recovered from sleeping.
On even days I work out, slow reps to feel the burn, basically somatic pressure exercises with 20 and 40 pound dumbbells. On odd days I go for a 20k to 25k run in nature to recharge. Effectiveness depends on the weather, I need to feel the sun to function :/
Afternoon I either read, play Synthriders for 30-60 minutes (moving meditation when overcast), do some cleaning, some yard work, or go paddle boarding on the river next to the house.
Shower between 6 and 7.
Eat after 7pm when I can (too stressful to eat during the day time)
Walk the dog at around 8:30pm
Give my wife a 45m massage after 9pm which helps us both.
Have some THC oil in hot chocolate, catch up on the news and play a simple game for a bit.
Have breakfast at midnight.
Fall asleep with some boring tv show.

Can't cut any more demands, still can't get out of burnout sigh. Of course there's more stuff, Saturday is laundry, Tuesday clean up and garbage, Groceries every 10 days, and taking care of kid's needs. Plus every day stuff comes up. Sometimes I just go lay under my weighted blanket for an hour to calm down.

Oh how i wish that any physical activity made me feel recharged, or just about any mental upside.
