I mean it was months ago, but it does feel like something that's hard to top anytime soon. But I don't really feel sad about that fact, that just means it was great.

Japan seemed to be 30 years ahead in almost everything. Coming back to my country, the noise and chaos, everything was like a kick in the gut. Like going to heaven and leaving.  Can't believe it's been almost a year, year moves too fast.

Actually, over the last 25 years nobody advanced further than China they have more engineers than any other country and lead the world in many advanced categories like EV vehicles, high speed rail and green energy.

Around the Network

When I visited Japan in 2006, my host family's car had that built-in screen with a 3D representation of the car and road map, something that didn't become commonplace in my own country until like 10 years later.

I also appreciate how clean and orderly it is; trains are never late, you never see graffiti or litter, very different to my city where there's mess everywhere and public transport is constantly late.

I know Japan has plenty of issues of its own, but in my time there it did feel like they had their shit together much better than here in Australia.
