I just want to say that that very much matches by experience with using AI in programming, except for the review part, which has worked out fairly well so far. I have major concerns about the maintainability of AI-generated code due to the excessive details and eagerness to violate abstraction levels. Working with AI-generated code without AI tools would probably not be very fun, and those details might slow down AI too, making it more costly to use AI the more you use it in a codebase. Maybe all this is not an issue even in the long term, but it could be.

As I care to understand the code I am more looking into AI review, so that I could improve my code, while still writing it myself.

That sounds like great use of AI in programming in my opinion.
