Forums - Nintendo - What Are Your Favorite Smash Bros Reveals?

Man I’m on a roll with thread these past 24 hours. This makes for three!

Anyways, OT: Nothing tops the initial Smash Bros 2018 tease in that 3.8.2018 Direct.

Well… that is until I remember “Everyone is here!”

And as far as character reveals are concerned, I’d definitely say King K Rool takes the cake for me.

What about you? Any memorable moments you’d like to share?

King K Rool, Banjo-Kazooie, and Kazuya were incredible announcements!

The most surprising though was Solid Snake for Brawl lol

Melee was the first Smash I played. I played it in 2004. When E3 2006 happened and Brawl was unveiled it blew my nearly 10-year-old mind. Not only seeing characters like Wario join, but a non-Nintendo character like Snake.

Dunno if you were aware, but the trailer was first shown in a private thing outside their main character. Then people started posting rumors about how they announced a new Smash game with Meta Knight, Zero Suit Samus, Wario, and Solid Snake. And I didn't believe it at first XD.

King K. Rool

He was absent from any games for years and many people used to say Nintendo didn't want to include him in any more games. It was a glad surprise to see him coming back

Going to second Cloud.

My runner up is Ness in the original Smash Bros. Which was unexpected.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

The reveal of King K. Roll still gives me goosebumps. I love that crazy guy. Wanted him playable in Smash since Melee, was kind of disappointed when I unlocked all characters in Melee and he was not there. Always saw him as the big bad of the DK games, on the same level as Bowser and Ganon(dorf) for Mario and Zelda. Voted for him twice in the ballot things Nintendo did. The first time he was not an option, needed to write his name in a box.
Never really liked playing with him in Ultimate, but I love that he is there. And the gangplank galleon remix is just great.

Even if King K. Roll takes my top spot. I gotta say almost every reveal of new characters for the Smash games was awesome. Each reveal had as much hype as a good whole game announcement. I miss it.
