I’m just hoping Switch 2 will be able to get above 30k weekly at this point 😅

It will in time, it just needs more big games. Switch Sports Resort and MH Wilds should help a bit.

The Wii peaked in 2007 in Japan, didn't it?

I would actually call this a good week for Nintendo.  Rhythm Heaven passed the 1M physical mark and NS2 passes 2.5M for YTD.  However, it is a slow week for software in general.  The #30 spot is just barely above 1000.  (1,028)

Updated OP with top 30. (Thank you @curl-6 for the data! :) )

With Nintendo officially (going to be) selling in Asian Markets where there was grey import before (usually from Japan), I expect the Japan numbers simply cannot reach Switch1. Independently of the price difference.

Now the big question is how big that influence was for the Switch. 2M, 5M, 10M, or even more?

While Switch got exported from Japan to other Asian countries like this, I would also like to note that Nintendo did a rather great job at selling the console in smaller markets. The Switch has sold over 24M consoles in RoW, a feat that otherwise only the PS2 managed to achieve, and more than twice the 11.28M of the DS, Nintendo's previous leader in the RoW region.

This should also mean that while the effect of Japan's sales being pushed by grey exports is real, it should also not be too big considering how the official sales developed in other countries. So I suspect that even without this push the Switch would have reached over 30M sales in Japan alone.

Switch 2 is doing great, it did better first year than Switch's first year and is trailing to be on par with Switch year 2 probably. The system will truly go up next year with all that will be releasing and a potential Switch 2 lite that is really needed in today's economic climate to appeal to a more casual audience.
Zelda OoTR, MH and Switch sport resort will def help build that momentum into next year.

Impossible to know really. The attach rate to the Japanese population is crazy. There will be exports as well not going to typical Asian countries.

Due to low exchange rate for the Yen, the Switch1 has been (and still is) a good deal for foreigners.

e.g. I can image the 50K+ US military stationed there taking some to families home after or during a tour.

Comparing Row is tricky with older consoles. I believe the DS never sold in China as example.
