OOT. The be all end all.

Ocarina of Time and Ogre Battle 64 are my 2 N64 goats. And surpringly i think i sunk more hours into OB64 than OOT.

For how small it's library is, it's insane how many gems the N64 library has.

Probably one of the most quality over quantity consoles ever.

Glad to see some Ogre Battle 64 love. That game in my experience, is the best aged game from that console. But as a note, I’m an RPG fan who was less enthralled by the early free camera 3D action games than most.

Don’t get me wrong, I respect their positions in gaming history as the pioneers in free 3D camera navigation. But that doesn’t mean I wanna play them as much as others! 😁

3. Super Mario 64

4. Tie: Wave Race 64 / The entire Rare library, minus DK64 and Jet Force Gemini

5. Beetle Adventure Racing

Z:OoT, Mario 64, GoldenEye.

All three games were absolutely legendary and completely blew away anything else that had come before.

A decent number of other unforgettable games, but these three are not only crazy crazy good but broke new ground and nothing else that generation even came close to them in their respective genres. Other games attempted to match them (most notably Z:MM, Banjo-Kazooie, Perfect Dark) and were all great attempts to catch lightning in a bottle twice, but even those three, famous and great in their own right, couldn't match the originals they tried to emulate.

Do you mean San Francisco Rush 2049? That is indeed one of the best racing games on the system, if not the best. It's one of my favorite racing games of all time.

On the subject of which is my own favourite game, the N64 is my favourite console so there are so many games I love. It used to be Majora's Mask, but these days I think I'll go with Banjo-Tooie. It's more an adventure game than a platformer and has some of the most charming, ridiculous worlds I have ever seen. 

Its biggest strength is the level design, which makes said worlds feel real and lived in (most of them at least, I'm looking at you Cloud Cuckoooland).

F-Zero X is another absolute banger, from its rock 'n' roll attitude to its insane speeds to the fact it's 60fps a rarity in 3D games at the time.

Then there's Diddy Kong Racing, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Black Corps, Turok, Doom 64, Sin and Punishment... 

Man what a console.
