It seems their is a rumour spreading about this, take it with a HIGH grain of salt thou, but if true it will be one of the biggest wins ever in gaming for consumers vs a giant company.

Highly unlikely. Sony already said games released before 2028 can remain in print until further notice.
The most I can see is them implementing a disc to digital program and if we are even luckier than that they might put an optional disc drive add-on to PS6 so we can play the previous two generations and movies. Basically, the same functionality as the PS5 Disc Drive add-on you can buy right now.

Even if true its not like its going to change anything long term. Maybe another generation of game collecting for sony consoles for all the enthusiasts out there. Id partake myself if that were the case, but at this point i only have 20 ps5 games where as usually id have closer to 100 or maybe even more at this point in the generation. All that to say, i dont really feel like i care what they do anymore.
If this rumor is true, all it means is that theyre going to go back to the drawing board and redraw the map of how they plan on getting back to a discless console.

Nice. Now find a way to make the PS6 cheaper. Drop the attitude. Start making great games in a timely fashion again and we`ll talk.
