In other words: Is there a game you feel confident is coming out someday, and are super eager to see it. For me, those games would be 3D Mario and 3D Zelda (not counting OoT Remake).

After seeing GTA VI probably GTA VI.

But I'm eager for another great Mass Effect, Elderscrolls or Fallout though I'm not convinced that any of them will live up to their past glory.

3D Mario. I've been waiting forever. I was really hoping we would've gotten another one on Switch like how Wii had 2 Galaxy games.

No. As someone who experienced the 80's/90's, I'm pretty confident that that game will never come out for me. I've played what is considered the best of the best over the last two generations and not once did it match the sense of discovery, innovation, freshness, and how-the-****-is-this-even-possible moments of the some of the games that came out during the golden era. The last time I played a game like that was the sixth generation. It's been that long. So if there is something on the horizon, it certainly won't come out on standard consoles. It'll have to be VR or some uninvited new tech, and we're not even close to that yet.

Gears Eday

Well now my curiosity is piqued lol. What are some of those “how the heck is this even possible?” games you allude to?

Before I knew of all the AI bullshit it would have been Stellar Blade 2.

Gen Atlas is that game for me. Fumito Ueda is one of the few auteurs in the video game industry; I can't wait to see what he dreams up in this new game.

Gears of War E-Day is the upcoming game that I am the most hyped for right now. I prefer a polished, tight, linear experience.

God of War Laufey and Intergalactic also have me interested. The Witcher 4, maybe.

The new Fable for me. The OG trilogy are some of my favorite games of all-time. Despite how dated they can be in places I still enjoy going back and replaying them from time to time. The new game looks fantastic and to me captures the medieval fantasy feel of the originals but with cutting edge visuals.
