Any Ace Attorney fans on this site?

Let's discuss about the franchise. What's your favorite game? Favorite character? Favorite case? I'm currently playing Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, and finally being able to play the second game in english.

Remember to keep spoilers hidden.

Around the Network

I'm a big fan of the series and you're probably gonna love the 2nd Investigations game, it's a contender for my favourite in the series. I actually played the Investigation games through emulation and used the fan translation for the 2nd one though the collection was announced just half a year later funnily enough.

The only one I haven't played is the Layton cross-over and that one is in an unfortunate place being the only one not officially available on modern platforms. Level-5 needs to port the Layton series to more modern platforms already, they're bringing the upcoming one to Playstation and PC so hopefully that does well enough to encourage them to do that if that isn't already planned since I wanna play through at least some of that series first before checking out the cross-over game.

Of course, very long time. Since the marketing campaign for the original Western release. That series and Trauma Center, but Ace Attorney is the one that stuck.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

The first game is probably my favorite one still. The first two cases are not that good, but the fourth and fifth are awesome to deduct.

Each game have a fair share of okayish to great cases. The last case is often great in each game.

The best complete story arc belongs to the third game I think.

My favorite characters include:
Dick Gumshoe - love the gags of him getting pay cuts all the time.
Matt Engarde - when his theme song starts, love to hate the guy.
Ema Skye - specifically her first appearance , catching the wonders of a curious child well.
Klavier Gavin - Cool and fair. Not as annoying as many of the other prosecutors.
The Judge - He just cracks me up sometimes with his comments.

Just finished "A Turnabout Forsaken".

That was a great case, one of my favorites from the Miles Edgeworth series.

However...

Spoiler!
Fender is getting on my nerves, trying to force Miles into quiting being a prosecutor. Man, Edgeworth is perfect as a prosecutor.

It's in my top 5 game franchises, which says a lot. Been playing it super actively since the first game was localized on the DS back in the day.

My favourite game in the series is Dual Destinies, my favourite characters in order are Simon Blackquill, Klavier Gavin, Miles Edgeworth, Athena Cykes and then in fifth probably Phoenix himself.

Not sure about favourite case, but I do think Turnabout Big Top is not nearly as bad as people say. In fact, it's probably the best case in the 2nd game for me, though I will admit a large part of that is because I think Max Galactica is a fantastic character.

Didn't like Spirit of Justice much at all, think they've gotten extremely convoluted with adding backstory beats to Apollo that don't really seem to fit together very well, but hoping we'll get a return to form when (if) we finally get a AA7 one day...

Just finished Ace Attorney Investigations 2.

What a great game!

Spoiler!
I'm glad Miles choose the Prosecutor's Path in the end. That fits him much better. Plus, the series have enough "attorney heroes". We need a good prosecutor too.

Turnabout for the Ages was a very fun case. Lots of twists.

Gotta finish the Great Ace Attorney games. Mostly because I want to replay the other titles. Just need to find time.
