Me. I haven't gotten into GTA since GTAIII.

Though there are certain people trying to talk me into getting it for MP purposes. >_>

Its better than ZELDA: Orcana of time, buy the Game and you will love it, trust me I know little girls(9 year olds my firends sisters) that love GTA and they are little girls.

so, i've never played GTA.  i've only learned about what GTA is after coming to vhgcartz about a year ago.  anyway, so after seeing all these 10/10 reviews, i decided to watch a gameplay clip (on gametrailers).

clearly, i'm not among the target audience.  

my initial reaction: what kind of people actually likes to play these games?  as i try to envision this crowd, i could only think of the recent comments made by Josh Howard, the NBA player, about how smoking pot in the NBA off-season is a common thing.  

"play the american dream", i read a comment on joystiq.  what?  from thuggery to gang boss is an american dream?  okay...

apparently, millions of americans like to live the world of GTA.  can that really be true?  what is it that actually draws you the the game?

i have never played a gta game ever in i don't plan to start now gta is just not my kind of game i don't understand all the hype behind it

Eh... GTA was never my type of game. I'm sure it'll be an incredible experience for other gamers, but... seeing how I never got into the previous installments, I doubt my opinion will change.

Not to say I'll never play the game. I have access to a 360 and I'm sure that GTAIV will show up eventually. So, I'll probably get some time to play the title. But playing it and completely enjoying the title is a different story, so don't cross your fingers.

I have a 360, getting a ps3 in 2 weeks time and i'll never play this game - never been able to play GTA games for more than 1 session, I just cant find the fun in them (perhaps it's hidden in one of the many streets somewhere you walk aimlessly around for hours on end.

 Those little kids are the ones who are asking their parents at the moment to buy for them a PS3 or a X360 for this game.

Probably the most of those parents will say 'No son/daughter we just bought you a Wii you can't have everything'.

i own a 360 and i will not be buying it. It is the most overrated game series even more than halo.

I remember the first time i saw GTA my friend brought it over and said "hey i got a fun game to show you" so we pop it in and it's GTA Vice City, so i watch him play around and i'm like "what's the point?" he says there are missions to do and a bunch of random stuff you can goof off with.

So i start playing and i try doing some missions and i'm bored out of my mind after 30 minutes so i start goofing off and enjoy it a little more. After driving over countless civilianz and running from the cops i shut it off. I figure it was an average game i'd give an 8/10. i go online and crap the game has a 95% average! i couldn't believe it i honestly thought it was a joke.

So i tried playing deeper into VC then i tried san andreas and it just didn't click, i think they are just average games. Shoot me for not liking GTA but those are my thoughts.

I'll probably play it when it comes to pc (free download) flame me I don't care, This will be like all other GTA games, I just to play it for a few minutes just to check out what the heck the hype is about. then after like 10mins of goofing off, either I burn it to disc and never see the day of light again or I just delete it from hard drive.
