Ignoring all of the potential leaks...

I think we're likely due for news on the next mainline Kirby game. It's been 4 years since Forgotten Land, and that was a huge success for HAL, so a follow up seems likely. A new Zelda announcement would be likely simply based on the fact that Nintendo like having a new entry every 2-ish years, even if it's just a port/remake. The 2D Mario and/or Pikmin team has been quiet lately, along with Next Level.

Yeah I could see a new Kirby announced with a Q1 2027 release, that would be 5 years after Forgotten Land, 4 years after Return to Dreamland Deluxe and ~1.5 years after Star Crossed World.

I’m curious if the next mainline title will be go back to 2D or is 3D gonna stick around for a while. I could see it going either way.

Argument for 2D-Star Allies is the last mainline 2D title and it’s over 8 years old now so they might feel the need to make a new one and let the updated port of Forgotten Land scratch the 3D itch for now.

Argument for 3D-Forgotten Land is the highest selling Kirby game by a comfortable margin so sticking with that format makes sense and release updated versions of 2D titles like Triple Deluxe or Planet Robobot similar to Return to Dreamland Deluxe.

I mean, I'm not gonna do a simple wishlist because I know that'd be setting myself for failure but when it comes to predictions, I guess I'll play along :

- Zelda related game, be it remake like everyone is suggesting with Ocarina of Time remake or anything else to surprise us.

- Xenoblade announcement ... But it's just a Switch 2 update for the Trilogy. Hopefully this ain't being done by the same ones who did the update to Xenoblade X ...

- More info on games like Star Fox, Splatoon Riders, Rhythm Heaven New Groove, etc ...

- Duskbloods gets a full 5 min. Showcase + Trailer. Will be demoed on the Treehouse live right after.

- We get a redos for announcements we saw on previous showcases like MH Wilds, No Rest for the Wicked, Persona 4 Revival.

- More ports from 3rd party publisher like Xbox, Atlus,Capcom, etc ...

- New trailer for Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave. We get a solid date for this September/October.

- New experimental title unveiled by Nintendo. Nobody knows what to think of it.

- Last showcase will either be the next 3D Kirby game or the next 3D Mario, not both, place your bets, everyone !

Honestly those predictions sounds too safe for the most part but getting almost everything I cited would be a solid mark for this Direct in my book

Switch Friend Code : 3905-6122-2909

Hopefully a new Mischief Makers announcement

Ocarina of Time will be there, I think a new Sports title will be there and I'm 50/50 on whether they show 3D Mario early here or wait for a Sept/Feb direct.

Duskbloods will definitely be there if it's not getting delayed.

Hotel Dusk and Last Window re-mastered / re-worked like Another Code, with a third game in the series also coming (well... I can dream).

Some kind of Mario platformer or Zelda game would likely suffice for me.

My wishlist is:
1. Mario Maker 3D
2. Platinum Games new action game in the same universe as Astral Chain
3. Luigi Mansion 4
4. I don't think they will reveal project M. But hopefully it's a game in Eternal Darkness universe.

ARMS 2 would be a surprise though.

I just want to see something completely left field out of the box. Something completely unexpected that has everybody laughing their ass off. Like the virtual boy announcement last time.

1-2 Switch Switch 2 Edition. Calling it now.

Honestly, the only things I'm really interested in to see are either Ocarina, or, what I would like much more, reimaging of Zelda 1 - so I guess that's all I'm expecting/hoping to see, while still being open to surprises.

The main thing will be seeing just how accurate Nate is. Other than that the release dates for the first Silksong DLC, Deltrarune chapter 5 and Danganronpa 2x2 are all safe bets. My main hope is that this new Ace Attorney game rumour is true and with how long it's been since the last one I imagine it'll be a good direct. Also I do like that the big three are gonna end up having a presentation so close together. It's not E3 level close but it's the first time all three have had something in early June in a while so hopefully that happens again next year.

Well one of those was a safe bet at least lol. I'm pretty surprised the other two were a no show.
