Packed as hell for sure.

For new people to Onimusha and curious about the old. The first 2 games are in HD. They do follow a continued storyline but they can be played on their own just fine. I'd star with the first game. It plays like RE but with Samurai. Second game evolves away from the RE ties. Sadly 3 is not in HD yet. Dawn is coming to PS5. A good game but very different than the other 3. It was meant to be a soft reboot on a smaller budget.

Something tells me that at least some of them are releasing at that time to preempt the release of GTA6 and to not directly compete with it at release.

Onimusha is sadly one of the games I can see coming off worse for being crammed into such a busy two months.
I'll support it, but I wouldn't be surprised if its sales aren't amazing.

Added FE and Gears. So now that three week period has 20 releases.

My three pickups during September will be Fire Emblem, Trails 2C, and Onimusha. I've already pre-ordered the collectors' edition of FE through Target.

That's exactly what it is. They want to scramble to get a bunch of big games in before GTA 6 sucks all the oxygen out of the room.

Welp, now the shows are all over, here's the damage to my wallet from these two months alone:

- Onimusha

- Dragon's Dogma 2 Dark Arisen

- Orbitals

- Switch Sports Resort

- Trine 6

So that's like $400 AUD right there, ouch.

I tried the demo and it felt like an Onimusha game, at least to me.

My two biggest gripes with it are that it lacks colour, a common theme among many current games where vibrant colours don't exist anymore, and that there are only two control options and you can't customize it. I missed so many hits by pressing the wrong button that it affected my enjoyment of the demo.

Hopefully that second complain will be changed by the time the game launches.

And the only games I'll be purchasing? Fire Emblem and Rayman. And then Ocarina of Time to cap the year. Very strong line up for me: three long anticipated (FE)/dream (OoT/Rayman) releases all back-to-back. I don't need all of this other fluff.
