Given how well Switch Sports sold, a Switch 2 sequel would make a lot of sense.

A lot of people grew up with the Wii and are adults now with disposable income, plus the blue ocean/lapsed gamer crowd.

Given Jamboree just came out in 2024 and got a Switch 2 version, I wouldn't expect a new Mario Party until at least 2027. I feel like they're pretty well covered in terms of casual games for this year already given Pokopia, Tomodachi, and Yoshi, probably best to focus on the hardcore crowd in the second half of the year.

What was Next Level Games last game? Was it Mario Strikers Battle League? I'd love a new Luigi's Mansion to go with OoT Remake. Would be a dream lineup for me particularly. haha

Next Level's last was Mario Strikers Battle League in 2022; they usually work pretty fast and managed to get that game out just 3 years after Luigi's Mansion 3, so it's not impossible they couild drop Luigi's Mansion 4 this October.

I'd love that. Can't even imagine what new gameplay ideas they would come up with, not to mention the visuals. If any Nintendo Game has a chance of using some sort of Ray Tracing, it's LM due to its narrower nature.

Yeah considering how good LM3 looked on Switch 1, the thought of how good LM4 could look on hardware that can run the likes of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle or Star Wars Outlaws is mouth-watering.

Switch 2 Shipment figures will likely be strong this quarter for the following reasons:

* Nintendo already sold through more consoles than they shipped last quarter, meaning they have had a shrinking sell through/shipment gap recently.
* Japanese shipments will be high this quarter due to the ultra strong sell through happening this month due to the combined effect of golden week and the looming price increase late May.
* This quarter will also include the start of the new choose your game Switch 2 bundle in the US.
* This quarter will very likely include a Nintendo general direct, and that could lead to increased Switch 2 sales in various markets depending on which games are announced.

Yeah April-June should be strong; it's after that that things get interesting, as we don't know their lineup passed July, plus the price hike in September.

A lot will hinge on what they've got in store for the holidays and whether it will be big enough to push people to drop $500.
