I deleted Facebook over a decade ago. I don't see why people still use it. I got rid of Xshitter 3 years ago. It's a Nazi pedophile circle jerk filled with bots. Xshitter thrives on negative takes and pure hatred. So I never saw the outcry for Switch 2 either. Just Game Key Cards but not the console itself.

Why did you take so long to get rid of Twitter if you left Facebook over a decade ago? Twitter is a million times worse than any other social media combined.

I still use Facebook for some groups abouts games and so, and mostly what is aimed at me are memes or cat videos, so it's pretty quiet around there.

I deleted Instagram around one and a half year ago tho, I should leave Facebook too since the major reason I left Instagram is its owner decending in god complex madness and going into open subservience to the orange clown at the same time (really strange combination of power complex and still openly kissing someones feet), but as I said, for the purpose it serves to me it's pretty still ok, but I have never understood actively using Twitter.

I think I made a Twitter account there 15+ years ago, which I forgot the email, and them another a few years later and I'm sure I don't clock 48 hours total logged on it over all this years, and mostly it was just to try to engage with stuff going on in the gaming world at the time like asking Santa Monica to release the Dart DLC for Playstation All Star Battle Royale once it was discovered it would be DLC for it, before the game killed all DLCs after the second one.

I never had any use for Facebook. Twitter I was able to keep in contact with some friends and only micro blogging site with people in it until it wasn't. I moved to Bluesky and honestly it's pleasant for me there. Not 18 billion bots. No Grok. My posts are actually seen and get engagement. I don't really see a large scale of rage merchents. Always some dickheads but block them. No secet I'm block happy but moreof a mental stability thing. Easier than engaging. Out of site out of mind. Rarely out of anger or hatred. Just mental health.

Isn't Twitter mostly to see popular people/companies posts and engage around it? You used it mostly for direct communication?

It was the case for me with Instagram, there is an artist friend that is mostly there because its a venue to post her art, but aside from her the app was pointless to me compared to other ones for direct communication.

My former Twitter account and now my current BS account I used for a few things. I share old gaming magazine scans. 2 days out of the week they are specifically themed. In a sense it's content creation. Then it's open engagement of discussion like a forum. I also just us it as a random thought what's on my mind.  A couple are friends for open discussion rest are followers and people I follow. Much like a gaming forum. On BS it's civil like 99% of the time for me. My best friend we mainly talk on Signal since Discord went to shit.
