Anyway just got my copy home, about to take it for a ride and see how it is!

Played through the first few missions.

It kinda reminds me a bit of the modern Doom games of all things in that its kind of an arena shooter; you enter a "room", a ton of enemies spawn in, you clear them out in a hectic bloodbath. (Inkbath?) 

The diversity of weapons and tools is improved a lot over prior Splatoon campaigns, and where those kinda felt like 3D platformer stages at times, this one is more focused on over the top action and enemy variety. 

As someone who always loved the feel and mechanics of Splatoon, it feels just as satisfying here.

Just ordered myself a copy. I still can't believe how much this franchise has grown from the little plucky Wii U game it was!

Having now played much further, boy does this get fun once the hordes ramp up and the arsenal branches out!

The sheer craziness that can unfold when you're being swarmed by dozens of baddies and just barely holding them off by the skin of your teeth is breathlessly exciting, and making epic builds that annihilate the hordes is a blast.

Let's party up once I get the game tomorrow!

I appreciate the offer, just not sure if our timelines match as I'm in Australia and my evening game time is very strictly routine due to my autism haha.
