What a surprise; Barron Trump is exempt from military service:

No kidding.

In a just world, Barron would be off to Fort Moore (formerly Fort Benning) for infantry training. As a private, not as a lieutenant.

Guys you must understand that there is a 4 years war on Ukraine and an ongoing global conflict NATO versus China + Russia.
Those wars are not made for fun.
Ofcourse this is very sad because we have more important matters like climate change, it reminds me Rome that made wars before it collapsed.
Probably the world will collapse too from climate change + oil & Gas depletion.

The resource wars are in full swing, it's all part of it. Instead of investing more into clean energy, thorium salt reactors, nuclear fusion, desalination plants, climate change resistant crops, the big powers chose to invest more in fighting over the remaining scraps.

2.5 Billion invested in Nuclear Fusion research last year (globally) vs Trump raising the war budget by 600 Billion.

Peak oil predictions keep changing, pushed further forward, while climate change keeps turning out worse than expected. Yet we chose to fight over oil+gas rather than addressing the elephant in the room.

The US shows all the signs of a dying empire and is acting accordingly. Starting wars left and right desperate to cling onto global power.

The world will survive, American empire won't. Empires come and go, they never last. The Roman empire lasted the longest (~1500 years) but eventually collapsed as well. Divide and Rule (conquer) strategy doesn't work long term yet the big powers / global elite still see that as the only tactic...

The average empire lasts around 250 years, US empire is not looking to go far beyond the average.

Not good folks, we're occupied.

Well to be fair if there will be a war between US and China, its far more likely the former will invade than the latter. The US army isn't optimised for defense it's optimised for power projection around the globe. Poland has a defensive army, superpowers do not, they have an army made for invasions. For that (Stealth) Bombers and Aircraft Carriers are very useful.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

It shocks me that one of the biggest promoters of world terrorism was clearly and undeniably building nukes... and people defend it.

Exactly. Iran will know they can't win jn a straight fight. But looking at the example of Vietnam and Afghanistan, and also Iraq and Ukraine, you can cause significant problems but waging a low-level but long fight and waiting for thr US political class to lose interest.

Coupled with the inflation spike which is almost certainly coming as a result of this war, Trump could have serious problems dealing with the knock-on effects.

Italy is also still around ;)

China isn't dominating the world with military bases and forcing their currency as the world currency.

The United States operates a vast global network of approximately 750 to 877 military bases in about 80 to 95 foreign countries and territories, which represents 75-95% of all foreign military bases worldwide.

China's defense budget is a third of that of the US. Sure they have more soldiers, good deterrent against any invasion. However the age of boots on the ground is past as Russia found out in Ukraine.

But yep, China will be the next economic empire for sure. They're far ahead in modernization and infrastructure with all the manufacturing capacity.
