Ofcourse this is very sad because we have more important matters like climate change, it reminds me Rome that made wars before it collapsed.

The resource wars are in full swing, it's all part of it. Instead of investing more into clean energy, thorium salt reactors, nuclear fusion, desalination plants, climate change resistant crops, the big powers chose to invest more in fighting over the remaining scraps.

2.5 Billion invested in Nuclear Fusion research last year (globally) vs Trump raising the war budget by 600 Billion.

Peak oil predictions keep changing, pushed further forward, while climate change keeps turning out worse than expected. Yet we chose to fight over oil+gas rather than addressing the elephant in the room.

The US shows all the signs of a dying empire and is acting accordingly. Starting wars left and right desperate to cling onto global power.

The world will survive, American empire won't. Empires come and go, they never last. The Roman empire lasted the longest (~1500 years) but eventually collapsed as well. Divide and Rule (conquer) strategy doesn't work long term yet the big powers / global elite still see that as the only tactic...

The average empire lasts around 250 years, US empire is not looking to go far beyond the average.

What about the chinese empire,they still around.

Lucky for us they are not power hungry,they are just massivly building the strongest army in the world for.
