TOTK I loved a lot; the fuse and ultrahand mechanics were insanely impressive, and made the puzzles and weapons system even more enjoyable than BOTW.

The themed dungeons and bosses were a step up over its predecessor as well. The sky was cool, but I did find that the depths got monotonous after a while.

I find it a lot like Mario Galaxy 2 where it mostly lives up to the sky high standard set my its prequel, but just isn't as impactful because the second time experiencing something is never as impactful as the first.

9/10 game all the same.

Fair enough. I feel the reason I give both Galaxy games a 10 while only giving BOTW a 10 in its duology (TOTK a 9) is because the Mario Galaxy games have more momentum and I feel minus the story that Galaxy 2 improved virtually everything. I don't mind Starship Mario. I don't really like it more or less than the Observatory, it's just smaller and different. Same with not minding the world map layout.

Definitely Tears of the Kingdom for me, as it feels like a bigger and much improved Breath of the Wild. The building mechanic alone is just incredible.

Breath has the "wow" factor advantage and the first few hours are better the way it eases you into the game. Tears begins more like something for people who have already played Breath. You also have to deal with some goofy looking weapons in Tears but at least there's a significant upside to that. And it sucks to lose the Guardian enemies but things like the Gleeoks and Gloom Hands make up for that.

But once you get auto-build, Tears gets so good. Being able to just whip-up creations is almost game-breaking, but in a good way. I've built a Lynel killer, a Gleeok killer, and everyone should build that simple little hoverbike that can take you anywhere. It feels so liberating in an open-world game like this to just fly right up to the sky area and watch all of Hyrule below you during a sunset and it's particularly amazing looking now on Switch 2 at 60fps with good HDR. And getting 100% now on everything via Zelda Notes has me engrossed in the game all over again. Unfortunately, the game again lacks anything on the level of the traditional 3D Zelda dungeons but at least we get better bosses in Tears.

I'd pick Super Mario Odyssey next.  Incredible game.

Switch 2 doesn't have real or good HDR.

You will get a better presentation on the Switch OLED... But then you have lower framerates to contend with.

I am talking about docked mode not handheld mode. Try playing on a good, properly calibrated OLED TV with HGiG enabled.  The Switch 2's HDR looks great in some games.

I practically never use my Switch 2 as a handheld.  I have my Switch OLED for that.

Probably the best part about the Switch 2 is the docked mode.

Close race between Odyssey and TOTK in the poll so far; nice to see Dread next in line as well, brilliant game. These are my top three, so interesting to see VGChartz shares a similar sentiment.

I believe Mario Kart World should be added to the poll. Judging by the inclusion of Xenoblade, Nintendo owned IPs not developed by Nintendo count, so many more titles should be added, like Astral Chain.

Monolith Soft is a first party Nintendo studio.

VGChartz only allows 10 poll options and 9 are already taken, so there isn't room for Mario Kart World and Astral Chain. (Both are great games though)
