It seems to me that State of Play was very well received.

Personally, I would give it a C+ (6/10). I think just talking about God of War without having anything to show came across very poorly. It was a solid show in my opinion, unlike Nintendo's presentation...

Imho, grade D+. very weak show for Nintendo, 4/10.

I give SoP a 1/10. Only thing interesting was Time Crisis. Also that poll is def from Reshitera

Gladly you don't work at Sony, lol.

Gladly mediocrity like Legend of Dragoon stays dead.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

I thought it was great. Lots a announcements and cool stuff to look forward to. What more do people want?

Sony is behind:
Kena sequel
Marvel Tokon
Saros
Marathon
4 Loop
GOW Trilogy Remake
GOW Sons of Sparta

That's a lot. Still would like to see signs of life from Media Molecule though.

It's ok brother, I won't attack the dead games you like as well, it's not like that wouldn't be easy tho, but this is only about your very bad taste about this specific event.

Everybody is happy with the SoP, all kinds of styles of games to appreciate, but you are butthurt, and I'm truly glad you are not in charge of things.

Huh, I missed that 4loop was being published by PlayStation.

Kena, Marathon, Saros, Wolverine, Tokon and Sons of Sparta is their 2026 line-up so far then.

I think it's a much better line-up than last year, still a ton of Sony studios MIA.

Kena looked really great. I don't think Sony published the first right? It doesn't seem like it'll sell consoles per se, but it def improves their 2026 lineup.

I liked the character reveals for Tokon, especially Storm. But I can't say I care one bit for Danger as a character. I think it's an interesting and exciting type reveal, but I'd rather someone else.

Saros showing off it's progression system has me really interested. I wanted to play Returnal but the loop seemed way to brutal for me to what to play. Saros seems more for me.

Marathon looks cool. I'll check out the beta. Hope they remake the original trilogy though.

4Loop had a much better showing than it's reveal (which was pretty poor). I think if the gameplay is as emergent as they claim it to be and they have a smooth beta and launch, it could find an audience.

GoW Trilogy remake is cool. Not amazing if this takes up SMS's resources alongside Cory's game, as I'd rather SMS were working on other stuff. But, I'm not against remakes and GoW is a great IP.

GoW Sons of Sparta looks cool. I was hoping it was a Betrayal remake, but maybe it leads to that.

2026 looks much better for Sony with GSOS and Kena. I wonder if 4Loop makes it this year (seems like it should). Maybe those China Hero Projects come this year too and Sony would have a lot of variety for the year.

That SoP was awesome. People need to either expand their horizons or lower expectations.

I just hope that Kena arrives before the crazy 4th quarter. June would of been ideal but probs too early. Quite a slot of thematic similarities between it and Bease of Reincarnation, I hope they don't canabalise each other.

For me it was a very easy watch, normally I get bored. Main critique is genre diversity. Could of done with a nice turn based announcement (FF9, DQ12 or Persona 6 etc) and something a bit more playful/creative (platformer or media molecule etc). GOW announcement left a bit to be desired.

I'd give it a 7.5/10 which is good.

I'm not a massive MSG fan so I guess it doesn't really matter but I'm a bit concerned about Konami's lack of in-house talent. I wouldn't trust them to make a new game in the franchise. They don't seem to have much vision or technical prowess.
