I always used to argue this. Why are people bringing up shovelware? Nobody is buying a system for shovelware it should be the best games going hesd to head. But shovelware was aaaaalways a topic. Add that to the list of shit people used to say all the time. Eventually i took the approach fine if you want to talk shovelware, wii has far better shovelware. Lol

Not like wii.wii had the same issue as 2600. Shelf space was almost entirely crap. Walmart and games top shelves almost all trash. Wii had good games but tough to find .  PS2 on a shelf sometimes a pimp my ride. Mostly real games on shelves I sold.

There's no shortage of good games on Wii though, you can just ignore Carnival Games or Imagine Petz, like we ignored all the crap on NES, PS1, PS2, etc.

I can. Shelf space can't in the largest retail stores for games at the time. Again same issue as 2600. So perception is soured . Not to mention wii shovelware ratio far higher than those consoles. Wii was not on equal footing tech wise like those consoles were. So wii was not publishers priority but a quick buck.

I certainly don't know if I'd say Wii had a higher proportion of shovelware than the NES; the bulk of that system's library was pretty poor, but that didn't matter cos it also had some of the best games ever.

Regardless though, anyone with the perception that Wii was nothing but shovelware was/is simply ignorant, the existence of games like Mario Galaxy or Twilight Princess weren't exactly a secret.

Well, I love the N64 thanks to Super Mario 64, Castlevania, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Road Rash 64, Mario Kart 64, and specially Super Smash Bros.

HOWEVER, if you ask me what is the best system from this list, I think I must say it's the PS3. Because it had a lot of great cinematic experiences. While the Wii was the winner of that gen, I feel like both PS3 and Xbox 360 were amazing on their own.

True, but I'd say that's more a Walmart issue or an issue with people not informing themselves rather than an issue with the Wii itself.

Xbox 360 had a lot of Third Party Exclusives except its own ones. I will go with that. I assume PS3 is first , Wii is ignored .
