Agreed.  PC stands alone on mount high.  It doesn't mingle with the commoners.

Agreed, peasants should know their place.

“Consoles are great… if you like paying extra for features PCs had in 2005.”

See, lots of fun to be had here hahaha

PC is at the top. But it's not comparable to consoles individually. PC is open and controlled by several companies. Consoles are controlled by pretty much two companies, or two and a half to be generous lol.

Valve doesn't make money via Fortnite or Roblox or Genshin Impact. Sony does, and this is one of the things that keeps Playstation ahead of Steam in (estimated?) software revenue. Though it may not be long before Steam beats Playstation in revenue too, even when Fortnite, Roblox, etc aren't accounted for.

It's just getting really hard to make meaningful comparisons because everyone is doing their own thing. Nintendo, Sony, Valve, Microsoft, and Tencent are very different. Direct competition hardly exists anymore, but "indirect competition" isn't nearly as indirect as it used to be.

You're talking about steam. How many units of hardware has steam sold? If you want to talk about PC, fine I'll go along with it, PC sold billions. How many championships does that put you at?

All of them since 2003.  PC is the biggest market and Steam is the biggest provider.

Consoles are like Kobe vs LeBron, fighting over scraps while everyone knows Jordan is the GOAT.

Just curious, if thats the case why does the biggest game in history launch console exclusive a year before pc?  Why not on oc first with its huge player base.

Minecraft launched as a PC game. It's the best selling game of all time.

Minecraft came from PC, hit consoles later.  You have that backwards.

Steam and Epic have over 200 000 000 active monthly users.  PC is the biggest market, just a fact.

Well you're obviously missing the point. The point he is making is why are big games coming to consoles exclusively first? When minecraft launched, it didnt develop a reputation yet, nobody knew how big it was going to be. Just because it happened to sell as much as it did doesnt take away from the point that is being made. I know youre just going to pretend to not understand the point and youll come back with something like "but it sold a bunch and it started on pc! It was big!" I know you actually understand the point, but go ahead and give your predictable response.

Steam also has over 120,000 titles to choose from. Biggest selection of games, not even remotely close.
