Condemned was great, the atmosphere and sense of desperation and foreboding was phenomenal.

Never played the second one but it's in the mail, will get around to it sometime next year.

First one was a bit like X files/crime murder mystery with a little taste of a magical cult going on...The second one goes full magical or full action game for most of its game.  Every part feels worse than the first one it is a shame. The devs wanted to make a third one that would retcon the second one....It is a bit like ' The Darkness' also a early 360 game that tend to be for most a hidden gem but the sequel destroyed its reputation.

An open (hub) world 'The Darkness game' like the the first one would work so well in this age aswell.

I heard a lot of folks say Condemned 2 isn't as great as 1 which is why I never bothered to play it til now. I feel like I wanna experience it for myself though, as I'm not opposed to either a full-on action game or fantasy stuff. If I don't like it, meh, I got it with a "buy one get one free" deal so no real loss.

The Darkness I am looking forward to, but I don't like the second game's cartoony art style so I think I'll skip that one.

Bastard box got me again; decided to pick up FEAR 2 (avoided it for ages as it's said to be not as good as the first, but apparently it is still a fun shooter so fuck it) and Battlefield Bad Company.

Finally got around to playing Condemned 2, awesome game. Tossing up over whether to grab DMC4; I hear it has a few issues, and the fixed camera system is something I really dislike, but the core gameplay looks appealing as I did enjoy DMC 2013 and I adored the Bayonetta games.

Damn system's like a black hole, there's no escape.

DMC 4 is good, not comparable to 3 but still decent, I played it on a friend's 360 back then and I remember it running well.

But that was me from that era, nowdays it may be a bit harder to accept.

This is normal, I still have PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U plugged in the TV.

Don't play DMC4 on 360. Play the SE edition on modern systems or PC. Better resolution. Framerate. More Outfits. Can play as Vergil. Lady/Trish.

Thanks, duly noted.

Got any hidden gem recommendations btw? You seem like someone who knows their stuff in terms of lesser known games worth checking out.

I put Wii U away once I got Switch 2. Switch now occupies its space in my second setup.

I'm tempted to put Xbox 360 away as well. It wouldn't connect to Xbox Live when I last tried it late last year and if I'm not using it, I might as well pack it up for now, so I don't have to keep dusting it.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 161 million (was 73 million, then 96 million, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million, then 151 million, then 156 million)

PS5: 122 million (was 105 million, then 115 million) Xbox Series X/S: 38 million (was 60 million, then 67 million, then 57 million. then 48 million. then 40 million)

Switch 2: 120 million (was 116 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

Depends on your tolerance of B games. 2 games I can say avoid are Ninja Blade & Onechanbara. Ninjablade is all QTE's pretty much with some boring basic combat. Might be the worst From Soft game I played. Onechanbara is just flat trash lol.  That said.

El Shaddai is a pretty cool game.

WET is a fun TPS as is Stranglehold.

Binary Domain is great but best played on Series X with BC

Space Marine is an excellent game.

Killer is Dead is a Suda 51 action game I quite enjoy but not everyones favorite.

If curious about Armored Core then AC For Answer IMO is the best in the series.

Lost Planet is pretty fun tho maybe a little dated. Not 360 but the Japan only spin off is on PS3 super import friendly called EX Troopers

Conan is a rough but fun game.

Now if you can tolerate some performance issues, Splatterhouse is fun but again has some rough edges. Then again most B games do.

Some good Shmups on the system. Raiden IV. Espgaluda II Black Label. Mushihime-sama Futari. Akai Katana. Deathsmiles.

Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey are great RPGs from Mistwalker.

Knights Contract another rough around the edges but can be fun game.

Majin & The Forsaken Kingdom is just a flat out great game. It's an adventure/puzzle game where you use a giant monster to help you solve puzzles. Some combat.

I am not outright suggesting this one as I never got far myself but worth looking into. It's a game with a steep learning curve. Resonance of Fate. RPG.

Way of the Samurai 3 if you want a more in depth game about Samurai's.

Metal Gear Rising of course.

VanQuish I would suggest the modern ports over 7th gen versions. It is BC tho.

Anarchy Reigns. Not PGs best game but the closest we have to a God Hand successor.

Asura's Wrath which is also BC on X.

Eternal Sonata is a solid RPG. Really pretty game.

Not obscure but Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed which is also BC

Transformers Fall of Cybertron is the best of the two but War is pretty good as well.

I did nto suggest ZOE HD collection because it's rough. While it is the best way to play ZOE 1. ZOE 2 is best played on PC or PS4.

The Darkness 1-2. 1 is more Deus Ex and 2 is more straight action game with a cel shaded look. Solid FPS games but I like 1 the most.

I enjoyed Lords of Shadow 1 a lot. 2 has issues but not as bad as people say. I found it ok.

These are only avail on BC now but some good SEGA classics on there with Guardian Heroes. Hunstar Heroes. Fighting vipers. Daytona and more.
