30. One of two highly regarded games in the same franchise released on the same day.
29. The ultimate crossover fighter.
28. The least mainline Super Mario game.
27. An RPG spinoff that followed the platform's trend of using the letters D and S to make a title.
26. The fourth entry in a handheld dungeon-crawling series.
25. Another handheld RPG, from the same publisher as #27 and #26.
24. Say, this protagonist's hair isn't usually pink!
23. An ordinary high school student in the distant future of 2035 goes on a wild field trip during an eclipse.
22. What a thrill...
21. Overshadowed by its remaster, which is STILL selling to this day.

30. I'm guessing either Metroid Prime or Fusion... gonna say Fusion.
29. Smash Ultimate?
28. Hmmm, Super Mario Sunshine?
27. Advance Wars: Dual Strike?

24. A Link to the Past

21. Mario Kart 8?

30, 29, 24, and 21 are correct.

I kind of got in too late for this, LOL. Interesting lists here.

I'll throw some guesses out here

28 - Super Mario RPG?

27 - Shin Megami Tensei: Devil's Survivor?

It's not too late to join actually if you want to. If you got time to make a list you're welcome to post it all at once on the official thread. (Or you could post up until the #20 and join us for the hint game)

28 is wrong, 27 is correct.

Guessed by @TruckOSaurus

From a game I had a lot to complain about to one where it's a struggle to find anything, God of War IV (because naming it like a reboot is a bit misleading since it really is a sequel) is simply an incredible game. If we were being totally fair it's sequel probably belongs somewhere on my list too because it shares many of its strengths, but namely because the first was so good it's hard  to get to muster up too much excitement for Ragnarök, sure it's more ambitious and has more content, but it's less focused and doesn't have the same heart or character development, the first was just a father and son's journey in a mostly empty mysterious world and it had such a strong atmosphere, top that off with incredible combat and story and you've got an all-time classic. If I'd grown up with this series and had a stronger attachment to it, it might even be a top 10 game.

17) It's 16 but with less content and stronger atmosphere

16) It's 17 but more divise and they put its world in a sandwich

Current list - https://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=249858&page=1#6

25 - Resident Evil 2
- One particular port of this game is often cited as highly impressive for cramming so much content onto one cart.
- Once you complete one scenario with one playable character, you are able to play the corresponding scenario with the other playable character.
- This game introduced a character that will feature in the next game in this horror series, which is released early next year.

24 - Resident Evil 3
- This game originally started as a spin off before eventually becoming a numbered entry in this popular series.
- In some regions, the name of one of the most notable enemies in the series was the subtitle for this game.
- This enemy stalked you throughout the game, often muttering the name of the police unit your character was associated with.

23 - Banjo-Kazooie
- One of the titular characters in this 3D platformer first appeared in another game of a different genre.
- The character mentioned in the previous clue can take flight in both this game and the other game mentioned above, although the method in which he does so is different.
- The two titular characters are named after musical instruments.

22
- In this ‘90s first person shooter, you need to collect ancient artifacts that then enable you to revisit levels to reach previously inaccessible areas and level exits.
- This game went by different names depending on the region it was released in. The 2022 remaster combined both titles in a clever way.
- One rumoured reason for the name change in one region was legal action by the British heavy metal band Iron Maiden, who had an album of the same name

21 - Donkey Kong Country
- This game takes place on an island shaped like the head of the titular character.
- The titular character’s favourite fruit has been taken.
- A great ape and his monkey friend take on reptilian hordes

20 - The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
- We can now go above and below this familiar land.
