If there ain't any price cuts for PS5 hardware in November, my estimates for worldwide sell-through for November range from 2.9m to 3.4m.

With a tad more confidence towards the latter, simply because 2025 has had a very decent software lineup so far.

Edit: ... and I estimate SW2 will surpass it by a small margin only, in best case around ~10-12%.

Overall, from October to December, I estimate worldwide numbers for PS5 to range between 6m to 6.5m.

While I expect worldwide SW2 numbers going to sit between 6.7m - 7.2m.

Did they do price cuts the last few years? Didn't they just raise the price of PS5? Sorry, I don't pay too much attention to holiday sales so maybe you are onto something. Genuinely asking. 

They do temporary price cuts for the season but not sure if below its old RRP at this point. I can't keep track lol

Yes they did holiday promotion price cuts the last few years. They do price cuts/promotions in every region at different times throughout the year as well. For instance this past May when Xbox did their first price raise, Sony had a Days of Play sale and discounted the console for several weeks. Xbox didn't do any holiday price promotions last year and likely won't do any this year either though. 

Switch 2 is the novelty, its riding on the success of the Switch 1 and the playerbase is still in its early numbers, so id say its the safe bet here.

Unless theres a noticeable price cut from ps5, but i dunno about that. 

Switch 2 should sell anything they can produce this holiday season. They have done a fantastic job keeping up with demand, but there should be a lot of people wanting one for Christmas. My two nieces and my nephew all want a Switch 2 for Christmas so that is +3 right there. Playstation will have a nice boost as they always do for the holidays.

If there are good PS5 deals/bundles it's going to win. The Switch 2 will probably take the crown in december
