PS2. Quality, quantity, and variety, with a sprinkle of gimmicks (EyeToy).

PS3 for me, only because it was more impactful.

Like If I were to pick only one system to play Sony's 1st party titles then the PS4, as it even had PS3 remasters. But the PS3 just put Sony's 1st party titles on a much higher level and has some better ones than PS4 (ie Killzone, Infamous, Little Big Planet). It also had other great games that PS4 didnt have like Resistance, Heavy Rain, and GoW collection.

Its between ps3 and ps4. While I think ps3 had a great library, and it takes the W in numbers, i feel the ps4 takes quality for me. The more memorable games (at least to me) came for ps4.

PS3 because God of War3 is my favorite first party PS game by far.

PS3 is the winner. Sony doubling down and investing in making their 1st party output elite even in the face of sales struggles is what saved the PS brand. Goodwill coming off strong PS3 1st party output straight until 2013 gave the PS4 momentum out of the starting gate (even if its 1st party release started slow).

PS3 1st party games proved that the console could run excellent looking games, when a lot of 3rd party games struggled in comparison to 360 versions. PS studios not only put out quality, but for the last time, regular put out more than one game per gen.

Insomniac: Resistance 1, 2, 3. Ratchet TOD, ACIT, Q4B, ITN
Naughty Dog: Uncharted 1, 2, 3, TLOU
Santa Monica: GOW 3, Ascension
Sucker Punch: InFamous 1, 2
Guerilla: Killzone 2, 3
Media Molecule: LBP 1, 2
Polyphony: GT5 Prologue, GT5, GT6
Others: MLB The Show, Motorstorm, Puppeteer, Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls, Journey

I agree that ps3 had the best first party lineup, I was able to enjoy most games that I was interested in.
Definitely an excellent generation of consoles and games

The Playstation 3. All of the Uncharted games were good-to-great, becoming my favorite IP from the company and we got three on a single console. Then there were two new God of War games the way I liked them, not to mention all of the older titles at 60fps. The Last of Us was also a great twilight title for the console.

I guess I'd put the PS4 second simply because of Uncharted 4, Spider-Man and Horizon.

So tough. If this list included third party exclusives, I would choose the PS1 (my all-time favorite console) but since we're restricted to only first party, I'll go with the PS4.

Ghost of Tsushima and TLOU2 are in my top 10 best games of all time so that's reason enough for me.. Though the funny thing is that I never even owned a PS4 lol. I got to know and love these PS4 games and others when I got my PS5.
