After his meeting with Mamdani, Trump changed up his fashion game:

Someone made this up:

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I saw this article and thought that it was very relevant to this thread. I believe that Trump is currently in the second stage of this FTD- Fronto Temporal Dementia. He also has the FTD gait where his legs swing to the sides a bit in a circular motion when it would be easier to move them forward while walking like most people do. Bruce Willis was diagnosed with this, and eventaully, the disease took his ability to use language, even though he was still there inside. He just wasn't able to communicate.  That is where Trump is headed sooner or later. It may take 5 years, but Trump will get there. Perhaps next year is when Trump will be unable to make appearances anymore.

Trump has features of the Stage 2 though. Look at the impulsivity in many of his decisions. I highly doubt that he thought carefully before ordering that the Venezualan boat be destroyed. He also waffles back and forth between support for Ukraine or Russia, seemingly on a day by day basis. He is also showing some inability to function and govern as a leader without handlers figuring everything out for him. These people are going to have to be used as a crutch, until his dementia gets to the point that he can't pretend anymore and will ahve to admit that he has a serious neurological condition.

Stage 5: Personality Changes and Mood Instability

Frequent and pronounced mood swings, irritability, or emotional withdrawal
Increased strain in relationships

Phase 6: Severe Memory Loss

Difficulty in recognizing familiar individuals or locations
Restricted recollection of past events
High dependence on cues, reminders, or caregiver assistance

Phase 7: Advanced Cognitive and Physical Decline

Extreme impairment in cognitive functioning and loss of verbal communication
Reduced mobility and physical frailty
Increased susceptibility to infections and other health issues

I'm going to give credit where credit is due.  Trump just made the move to reschedule marijuana into a Schedule 3 drug.    Legalization may come soon, and this means that there will be a lower penalty if someone gets caught with a bag of weed for example.

"Protect the victims" Blanche says. Totally not an excuse to protect his orange pedophile overlord.

The primary effects of rescheduling should be on research and the marijuana industry. It would allow the marijuana industry to use certain tax breaks and potentially have more access to the banking system, and it will allow more research on marijuana to take place.

Both of these things are good, in my opinion, but they do not directly result in any change when it comes to decriminalization. This is a small step, but an important one. Biden started these efforts when he formally started the process of rescheduling but I was disappointed that he didn't act with a stronger hand on the matter. But, I also think absent any additional moves regarding decriminalization, this may be just be another symptom of Trump's affinity for giving tax breaks to businesses, but we'll see.

Either way, important step but a lot of work remains to be done.

Giving Trump credit formatting cannabis slightly less illegal is like giving a child rapist credit for tipping a waitress with a pack of gum.

Funny that you mentioned that, considering which "president" has had his name redacted in the Epstein files.

Innocent people don't have their name taken out of incriminating documents.

At this point the only way to get justice for the women and children he raped is through vigilante justice.

It seems like the long road to legalization has been a path of baby steps (polls and activism at first), and now we have had a major victory though not the ultimate one.

I'm still thankful because a step like this needs to be made before full legalization will happen.

Psssstttt.... Trump, give us a good trade deal and we'll tell everybody how charismatic and effective you are.

So, Trump is designing a new battleship class that will of course be named after him. It's probably going to actually play out a lot like when Homer Simpson designed a car for the average guy and loaded it up with a lot of stuff that was useless and costly.
