Sony themselves had many cross gen games on the ps5.  There will be even more with the ps6, especially if they go with a hybrid option because the hybrid is going to be a portable ps5.  Sony isn't going to split development between the ps6 and PSP6, games take too long to develop and costs too much.  Generations, for consoles, are dying.

Exclusives are dying hard as well.  

No he/she speculated it might require different assets but stated they don't know that, they've just heard from multiple sources that the game is coming to Switch 2 and PS4. 

Switch 2 should be able to run similar assets given what we have seen now from games like Star Wars Outlaws and Cronos, those games are not using different assets from the console/PC versions, just lower settings. 

I don't think this will be the case even for the PS4 version, when Capcom ported RE Village and RE4 Remake to the iPhone they didn't make new assets for it, that is expensive and time consuming to do that, I doubt they are going to go to the trouble of new assets for a PS4 version. The game has a lot of areas in enclosed spaces as is the case with most RE games, if you turn down the lighting effects it likely can run even on a PS4. 

btw the Switch has a little bit less power than Series S so I guess It will run just fine I mean RE Games with RE engine work just fine on Series S

I know, it's just the way his comment implied it was Sony's fault that cross gen is still a thing. Why not blame Capcom or the people that bought the RE4 remake on PS4? They are the ones who are ultimately responsible for this. 

Those are a likely lock if 9 coming.
