PC MASTER RACE BABY!

It's looking more tempting for sure but that system is getting ports worse than console for cards and parts that are multiple times more powerful than 9th gen consoles.

While partly fair, all the ports that have been subpar on PC are also affected on console, if not moreso. At least on PC, I always know there's going to be a mod that fixes performance. I've already had to do that several times this year. While on console, just gotta deal with it.

Let me just look up the prices of the current graphics cards...hard pass.

You need at least a 3080, might get away with a 3070 these days but you'll likely need a 40 series, maybe the higher end ones in two years and if you wanna brute force your way through terrible ports and optimization (and it's not garganteed) now you're hitting at 1500 for the card alone... but with Sony and the PS5 PRO you do need the PS sub for online and you won't get as many sales, deals and variety of games as steam. With a PC you can play anything from any system ever apart from maybe The Switch 1 & 2, PS4, Xone and up. That's some proposition to justify the cost.

Sorry but this is not true. Wuchang, MGS Delta, MH Wilds and even Wu Kong were all better on console unless people were bruteforcing with 5090s and even then they had crashes, there is a reason those games have extremely poor Steam reviews but good reviews on PS5. I seen streamers with 5090s hard crash and have endless stutter on those games. Only game I can think of clearly that was much worse on PS5 that I've played was Oblivion Remastered, it's unfit for purpose when you can't ride a horse or run without one second frame stutters every 6 seconds.

You, they get a poor look and whatnot put at least the are optimised better than most PC builds.

Bro, I legit wonder where y'all get prices like this I feel many think only the 4090/5090 cards are the only options available lol

We should all just go back to 5th and 6th gens.

I wouldn't mind capping graphics at Ucharted 4/RDR2 levels and just style them up but going back to polygons and block shaped models, 5th gen has to be the worst aged gen ever next to very early stuff.

I'll do my best to answer, although I consider Switch 2 to be 10th gen.

If you're a WiiU user looking to upgrade to Switch, it's a definite YES. The Switch has arguably the best game library of any console ever; it has the benefit of portability; and it largely makes the WiiU superfluous, due to so many WiiU ports, many of which are improved in terms of content and performance.

If you're a PS4 user looking to upgrade to PS5, it's a lukewarm YES. PS5 is the worst PS home console, but it gets the lion's share of big AAA productions, not to mention several important third-party exclusives and the rare amazing first-party game. The line-up in 2024 went a long way toward changing this from a MAYBE to a YES. Helldivers, Rebirth, Stellar Blade, Pacific Drive, and of course Astro Bot, which I consider the GOTY.

If you're an Xbox One user looking to upgrade to Xbox Series, it's a NO. Microsoft's first-party output has been random and unreliable over the last five years. And now its console exclusives are coming to rival platforms.

Plus PS5 has like 90% of the most important PS4 stuff and even PSVR.

Actually you know what, put of a technicality that the PS5 is a PS4 too and it pains me to say it but PS5 is the best. I still wouldn't recommend upgrading though.

You need to talk those in the PC community and not just those who ragepost online. There's so much wrong about this lol. I will give you MH Wilds though! Capcom's engine just isn't meant for open worlds like that. It's a mess across the board on a technical front.
