Would you recommend the 9th gen upgrade to someone still on 8th gen?

You need at least a 3080, might get away with a 3070 these days but you'll likely need a 40 series, maybe the higher end ones in two years and if you wanna brute force your way through terrible ports and optimization (and it's not garganteed) now you're hitting at 1500 for the card alone... but with Sony and the PS5 PRO you do need the PS sub for online and you won't get as many sales, deals and variety of games as steam. With a PC you can play anything from any system ever apart from maybe The Switch 1 & 2, PS4, Xone and up. That's some proposition to justify the cost. 

Bro, I legit wonder where y'all get prices like this I feel many think only the 4090/5090 cards are the only options available lol
