Was there anything shown (not counting HW - still no release date????) that wasn't a game key card for Switch 2?

I doubt the Hyrule Warriors game will be a key card since Nintendo's publishing. But pretty much everything has been confirmed to be a game key card outside of games like MH Stories 3 where it just displayed the release year. Maybe there's some hope for both Yakuza games being physically released through LRG.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind
Not sure what people were expecting, we’re basically in August and the focus was clearly on games releasing through the end of the year.
We have a few notable titles from most of the major publishers (Western & Japanese) from a wide variety of different genres releasing over the next few months.
Aug 5-Apex Legends
Aug 14-Madden 26
Sept 4-Star Wars Outlaws
Sept 5-NBA 2K26
Sept 26-EA Sports FC 26
Oct 3-Borderlands 4
Oct 14-Just Dance
Oct 23-Persona 3 Reloaded
Oct 30-Dragon Quest 1+2 HD
Nov 13-Yakuza Kiwami 1/2
Nov 14-Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero
Dec 4-Octopath Traveler O
2025-Sonic Racing
2025-Elden Ring
That looks like a pretty solid 3rd party lineup to me and doesn’t include many other smaller franchises or small publishers/indies.
The big notable holdout seems to be Microsoft (which now includes Bethesda/Activision) but maybe they will have a strong presence at the next general direct.
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.
I'm getting Octopath 0 on base Switch or PC, can't decide which one
No Switch 2 exclusive aside from Persona 3, which I already own on my PS5. No news about Elden Ring either, maybe they are saving it for a main direct?
I was hoping for some news about Duskbloods, it's the only third party exclusive I'm waiting for right now
I was pretty underwhelmed. Dragonball having motion controls has got me interested and I'm a sucker for Square's HD-2D RPGs, but outside of that there wasn't too much for me to get excited about. Maybe if they announced an option for Wii-style motion controls for Madden.
No Resident Evil was the biggest disappointment. It seems like such an obvious and easy step to port at least some of the PS4 RE games that it's utterly baffling they still have nothing announced.
Guys the system has been out for less than 2 months, there shouldn’t be any “I’m surprised x game or x franchise hasn’t been announced yet!”

First of all, I got my full from this Direct so I guess I'll feel lucky to be in the targeted audience of this Direct haha.
Nonetheless, overall it's definitely alongside the better ones we've got of those, if you recount the whole history of partnered Directs.
Anyway guys, don't worry, 3rd party games will also show up in the next general Direct, likely in September. So no stress here

There wasn't much for me this time around. The only two I'm interested in (MH Stories 3 and Cronos) I might get on PS5 instead.

People are just spoiled and can’t appreciate anything without having reason to complain.
The positive thing about that Direct, whatever you’re happy or not with it’s content, is that it shows that Nintendo is going in the new platform without losing a beat and it’s business as usual
