Rather disappointed after watching two video reviews, the OC score is meaningless to me on Soulslikes after Khazan getting an 80 so it will be community sentiment I'll be basing a purchase off but so far it looks like a sale for me. Thoughts?

A reviewer I trust fairly well, better than these no name outlets that make the Opencritic cut whom you don't know their experience with complex cRPGs, soulslikes and skill based genres. He finds it good with a few problems but not excellent.

With these scores and if the community sentiment matches, I'll just go and get AiLimit on sale while I wait for this to drop price. A Soulslike that got oversgadowed by Khazan around the same scoring as Wuchang but praised for it's level design and it's only 28 now on sale, down from 35 which was cut from 45 at launch. The community has already agreed against the 70 OC for that game giving it a 92% on Steam and it has been patched since launch. I have to say I am feeling the itch.

Seems like the game has some serious performance issues based on the lowest reviews.

That plus the saturation of Soulslike games and a 75 score might actually be higher than it should.

I don't plan on playing it so I guess I may never find out.

Let's see what the community says, Ai Limit was trashed and everyone loves it. Khazan got an 80 and yet that's one of the best games of the year and one of the best soulslikes there is. Journos aren't cery good at judging these games, they aren't very good at games at all. Only 33% of them finished CO E33 before reviews went out so it could always change, maybe the first to hours are a 75 and then it hits 10/10.

Sentiment from the souls influencer space is relatively high, I feel confident in buying it but I'm just not sure just yet, I want to see general community feelings on the game. The journos didn't do their diligence on yet another Soulslike as can be seen on PSNprofiles prior to people getting their hands on it, about 33% completion and 30% who made very little progress. Basing their reviews off of 10 to 20 hours gameplay is not right.

Game has overwhelmingly negative reviews on steam but that's because UE5 performance.

Funny that the complaints I saw on performance was on PS5, but one of the biggest gaming youtubers around here played it on PC and didn't mention a single thing about performance issues there...

He did praise the game a lot, his only issue was the game had too many of the same enemies to fight iver and over again.

DF probably has a video soon but with 21% on steam the gamers are not happy.  I wait for some updates to download it myself, seems the game is better than just fine if it worked well.

Performance seems solid on PS5. I'll be booting it soon for three or four hours.

Is this game just very demanding/unoptimized or it stutters etc.?
