Forums - Nintendo - Best Switch 2 launch title (and why)

I think the best is...

Mario Kart World 17 51.52%

Fast Fusion 2 6.06%

Cyberpunk 2077 12 36.36%

Split Fiction 0 0%

Hitman: World of Assassination 0 0%

Street Fighter 6 0 0%

Kunitsu-gami: Path of the Goddess 1 3.03%

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time 0 0%

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma 0 0%

Other (Post in comments) 1 3.03%

Total:33

Of Switch 2's lineup of launch games, which do you think is the best, and why?

Note: if you played any of these games on a platform other than Switch 2, (like if you played Cyberpunk on PC or Split Fiction on PS5) you can still vote for it if you think it's the best game on the list.

The only ones I've played have been Mario Kart World and Civilization VII...MKW Definitely wins though.

Mario Kart World - nothing comes close despite there being some other good games on the list.

Edit: Gameplay, design, music

Mario Kart World because it's fun as hell. And Rainbow Road... damn. I hear there are some online woes currently but I don't play online anyway. I just wish that we had a way in the game to keep track of all of the P-switch challenges in free roam but hopefully Nintendo will provide that in an update. And the visuals are just night and day compared to my first impressions of that reveal we had back in January. Looks great.

I haven't played Fast Fusion yet to be honest but based on its predecessor, MKW is more my speed (har har).

I will say Cyberpunk 2077. Didn't expect to enjoy it that much, but I already played 40 hours or so, lol. Mario Kart is great also, but I kinda lost the urge to play it again after completing all the cups and KO tours.

Cyberpunk 2077. Just a very fun and impressive game. Might not be as polished as MKW, but the world and characters they created here is truly something special.

Mario Kart because Mario Kart.

The lack of love for Bravely Default is crazy, everybody is up on Square Enix's face criticizing them for not making turn based RPGs anymore like E33... While no one cares about the turn based RPGs that Square actually is still making and releasing every year. Bravely Default is a fantastic JRPG.

Having said that, I chose Cyberpunk.

Yeah Cyberpunk is my pick as well for its incredible world and engaging role playing.

That said, Mario Kart World and Split Fiction are very close behind for me, the former for its polish and playful mayhem, and the latter for its ingenious gameplay variety.

Fast Fusion gets an honourable mention as a fun ride too; I also have Kunitsu-gami Path of the Goddess but haven't got around to playing it yet.

Deltarune. It left Mario Kart World gathering digital dust for almost two weeks. And I couldn't stop thinking about the damn thing in the next days after being done with it.

The game is just shaping up to become one of the best video games ever made. I'm not gonna downplay it by saying "one of the best INDIE games ever made", like many insecure players do. Nope, I'm confident that once it's completed, Deltarune will be up there with titans like Super Metroid, Half-Life 2 and Bloodborne.

I can't get into details, because spoilers. But let's just say that it's not often that I get to experience such a balanced work of art. Every aspect of Deltarune is not only excellent, but seems to merge flawlessly with each other. You can't talk about the music, the story and the gameplay as separate things.

And this is just me talking about like half of the full game. There are still at least 3 more chapters to go. But just with what we have now I can confidently say that this is not only the best Switch 2 launch game, but the best game of the year in general.
