The graphics are un fucking real. Kojima PRO has eclipsed early CGI with this game, haven't had this feeling of being how'd by visual to the point it's mind blowing in a long time, I thought those days were over but even more so here it's wowing because the performance matching graphics that exceed anything else out there. An other thing that is wowing me is the acting and also Kojima has taken critique to heart and lain off the on the nose writing, maybe it's good localization but Kojima with good writing on a moment to moment basis like monolouges, dialogue and visual storytelling is an unstoppable force, he's not yet there but he's closer.
@SvennoJ You're absolutely going to love this game,;the first few hours you'll be Stranding your head wondering did I actually love DS but not even 20 hours into this one I've already got that late game super zen, meditative but dopamine fueled experience with the planning and micromanaging to keep things interesting and they've added on so much to that latter aspect. It's so much fun.
One strange thing is it doesn't take most of the game to get on the hook, I'm doing standard deliveries early knowing I'll be able to be efficient in the future if I wait but it's just too much fun.

The store was closed yesterday as I came by lol.
No rush, sounds like a winter game anyway, like Death Stranding. Much more time to play. Also much better contrast (dark early) in winter!

Idk about that, it's so perfect right now and it turns out DS is better when you arrive having yourself, small chunks at a time, that's what this was designed for and the mood from the sun enhances the whole gameplay loop, sitting down for a few hours in the evening, it's an immense joy. Man, trust me, this is soooooo fucking good to everything we have discussed before as to DS1and why you love it, it's as if Kojima listened to you and I discussing what makes DS1 so good.

It's summer holiday, my kids are home and staying up past midnight. No time to enjoy Death Stranding 2 :/
I rather wait until I have time to enjoy it instead of getting frustrated I can't play it or get interrupted all the time... But good to know I'll have a great time in half a year, maybe sooner. :)
What I don't understand is why Kojima used ao muvh to practically spoil such a large chunk of the game. Anyway, this game is proof that photorealism can still effect you emotionally, you just have to lay an artists touch on top of it. The game is affecting me emotionally in graphics just as much as something like Gjost of Tsushima. This is a rare thing. I can't see anything eclipsing this until GTA6 or when this releases on PC, it surely has to be better looking that any vanilla game I know of.

Or for more expensive lol. Nintendo is first to raise their prices of HW and software again in Canada.

I don't care about the price as I'll know I'll spend 100s of hours on it if it's anything like DS1 :)
These were my stats for DS1 after reaching the end (offline first and online play-through)
Then I went on to get all deliveries at LL status.
Is DS2 similar with offline/online ?

It's basically the same, offline will keep you going for more to build with but if it logs in at all pavers and what not will get reduced costs but almost like it's a set ammount and they leave you with a little bit to add as a facade that others are helping.
I can't speak on Bandwith yet, the map is very big and ziplines and other stuff I won't spoil will need to ve complex. I can say however that because of thr new stuff, even in offline mode you will not get as long out of DS1 because of how streamlined and the efficency potential is massive.
This is more like 100 hours max to have the map running like a factory. It took me 130 hours to reach that, get the platinum and spend a few extra hours refining stuff just for fun, I'd say I'll be done with this in 80...maybe 90. What is great though is that there is a strong pull to doing stuff early and not waiting for better tech and even though vehicles are basically available at the start of the game walking with exoskeletons is still a thing with how the terrain is designed and even with vehicles I was having fun doing early standard orders.
The game is sooo good though, I was skeptical at the first 14 hours or so cause of such sweeping QoL and ease of terrain only to find this is more fun that DS1, there is little in the way of annoyance.
